I walked into my mom's office and I saw my mom at her computer and she was chatting someone online.
'' Mom'' I called her
Mom jumps and turns around and she saw me. '' Sweetie''
'' Sorry Mom I didn't mean to startled you'' I said
'' It's okay'' Mom said and then she said. '' So what's up''
'' Nothing much, just trying to figure out what I'm going to do on my days off.'' I told Mom as I walked over to the couch and then I leaned against it.
'' Right, you're three weeks off'' Mom said.
'' Yeah'' I said
'' Any idea what you're going to do''? Mom asked me
'' I'm not sure I mean I was going to do the apartment but I can't because Dr. Riley wants me to rest.'' I said
'' Zack and I can do that'' Mom stated
'' Mom, it takes more then two people to do the apartment'' I told her
'' Well, I get Angela, Hodgins and Booth to help out'' Mom said and then she says. '' Look sweetie don't worry okay, the apartment will be done before the baby arrives.''
'' I hope so'' I said
'' It will'' Mom stated and then she said. '' Do you know what colours you're having for the apartment? Have you and Zack discussed what to get''?
'' Yes we have and I have written a list what to get and I have written down which colour and I've also written where the colour is going to go.'' I told Mom as I hand her a list and the list looks like this
Rich clay brown - Living room
Raffia cream - Kitchen
Chocolate brown - Bathroom
Ash Violet - Zack and mine bedroom
baby Pink - baby's room
'' Wow'' Mom said as she finished looking at the list and then she looks at me. '' Very good selection of colours you got there''
'' You think''? I asked her
'' Yeah'' Mom answered.
'' Hodgins said they were all very boring colours'' I told her
'' Well I don't think they are boring'' Mom said and then she says. '' What does Zack think to these colours.''?
'' Well to be honest with you Mom he's not all that bothered with the colours.''
'' He's not'' Mom said
'' Nope, he said that he doesn't care what colour we paint the apartment as long as the apartment is ready before the baby arrives.''
'' Which it will'' Mom said and then she says. '' Oh, have you done the measurements.''?
'' I have done the measurements and I have written them down for you, they are on the other side.'' I said and then I watched Mom as she turns the paper to the other side which has the measurements on.
'' Do you know which couch you are getting''? Mom asked me as she looks
'' Yes I know which couch I am getting, I have told Angela and she has written down the order and she has also wriiten down the order for mine and Zack's bed and the baby's cot.''
'' Aren't you taking you're old bed with you'' Mom asked me as she looked up.
'' No, that's staying.'' I told Mom and then I said. '' I have also ordered some new draws and a new wardrobe and of course I have also ordered some draws for the baby's room and I have also ordered two chairs, a coffee table and a TV.''
'' Do you realise how much all of this is gonna cost you, Emmy? How are you going to pay for all of this stuff''? Mom said
'' She isn't''
Mom and I both turned to the doorway and there stood Hodgins.
'' What do you mean she isn't''? Mom asked Hodgins
'' Cause I'm paying for all the stuff'' Hodgins said
'' What? Are you serious Hodgins? You can't pay for all of this stuff''?
'' Why not''? Hodgins asked
'' Well for one thing it will cost you a lot of money, most of this stuff is like up to 40-50 dollars. '' Mom said. '' If not more'' Mom added
'' I'm going to pay him back, Mom'' I told her.
'' But still it's a lot of money'' Mom said and then she said. '' What does Zack say about this''?
'' He's okay with it'' I told Mom.
'' I don't know about this'' Mom said. '' Really it should be me paying for this stuff I mean I am you're mother.''
'' Yeah and Hodgins is my dad well not techinally my dad but he sure has been like it. Let him get this stuff for me, mom and I will pay him back.'' I told her and then I said. '' Oh and another thing why does everyone in the lab thinks that Hodgins is my dad. I mean everyone keeps on saying that I look like Hodgins, do I look like Hodgins.'' I said as I look at Hodgins and Mom.
'' No'' Mom said. '' Course you don't''
'' No way'' Hodgins said
'' Thank you'' I thanked them.
'' You sure you want to pay for all these things, Hodgins''? Mom asked Hodgins
'' Yes, Dr. Brennan and like Emmy said she will pay me back.'' Hodgins said
'' Okay, Emmy could you leave Hodgins and I alone, we need to talk''
'' Sure, I'll go back and see Angela.''
'' Okay'' Mom said
I move from the couch and then I leave Mom's office so that Mom can talk to Hodgins and I headed my way back to see Angela.
