She was gorgeous. Dark blonde hair was brought up in a tight ponytail to keep her hair from being in her face, her green eyes shining bright, even if the dimmed lights didn't add up to that.

"H-hi Grace," Luke mumbled, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck as he stared at the floor.

The awkward silence was thick in the room, and Logan didn't like it at all. Luke and Grace obviously had something going on, and Logan feared that the things clicking in her mind were right.

"Hey," She smiled softly, her voice sounding angelic as she spoke quietly, eyes training on the guy in front of her, "I haven't seen you - for quite a time."

Luke nodded his head and stuffed his shaking hands into the pockets of his hoodie. He looked up in fear, dreading what Logan was thinking about the girl standing in front of her. She caught Luke's gaze and sighed softly, sticking her hand out for Grace to shake, "Hi, I'm Logan, Luke's- maid."

The words stung a little, but Luke couldn't help but be shocked because of how calm Logan was acting. She didn't seem fazed, didn't seem annoyed or jealous. Just a bit curious, was what Luke was able to see in her eyes.

"I'm Grace," The dark blonde nodded with a small smile after she regained from being surprised and sharing a look with Luke, "I'm- a friend of Luke's."

The two girls shook hands as if they had never seen before and never met in real life. Sure, maybe Grace didn't know about Logan's existence, but Logan surely knew about Grace's.

"I can leave you two alone if you need some catching up to do?" Logan suggested, fingers tangling and untangling with each other as she watched the pair exchange a few harsh glances. She couldn't really read them but then again, Logan didn't even know if she wanted to.

"That's not necessary, we're fine," Luke nodded quietly, clearing his throat before sticking his sweaty and still shaky hands into the pockets of his basketball shorts.

"Yeah, that's nice of you Logan, but I don't think we have to talk about anything," Grace added, sending Logan a toothless and faked smile - she was able to see it was fake from a mere distance away.

"Alright, I guess not then," She spoke under her breath and sighed softly, "I'm gonna go, are you driving with me Luke?"

Luke's eyebrows furrowed together in confusion. They drove towards the gym together? How else was he supposed to come home?

"Uh- yeah," Luke mumbled, quickly walking towards the duffel bag he brought along with boxing stuff he never really needed - considering Grace had made her entrance. "Can we go?"

Logan nodded her head softly and took the keys, sending a soft but nice smile into Grace's way, "It was nice meeting you Grace," She mentioned to say before Luke had already pulled her behind him, walking so fast Logan had already noticed he was fuming and sad at the same time.

"Luke!" She exclaimed loudly once she noticed he was pulling her wrist a little too harsh, hurting her slightly, "Ow! Can you just please hit a fucking car or something instead of crushing my bones together?"

Luke's head snapped into Logan's direction, her small but snappy voice getting him out of his thoughts. He immediately let go of her wrist and watched her rub it after she sighed.

"Let's go," She murmured, unlocking the car and seating herself in the driver's seat because there was no way Luke was going to get them home without something happening if he was this mad.

"I'm sorry," He mumbled, the tears pricking his eyes although he refused to let them fall. He was not going to cry in front of the girl he was starting to fall in love with, that would be pathetic as hell. "I got no control for a second."

Logan noticed how quiet he was, and she was also noticing how he was constantly rubbing his eyes to keep the tears from falling. She sighed softly, "Just let it go Luke, no need to be ashamed."

"I don't want to cry over things I'm done with. Or people I'm done with," He answered almost a second after Logan suggested him to let everything go.

She just decided to let him be for a while because that usually helped, but when an awkward silence fell in the car, she knew she had to speak up.

"Grace is that girl from the picture isn't she?" Logan asked quietly, her hands narrowing around the leather steering wheel.

Logan recognized her since Grace walked in. There was no way Logan was able to get those pictures out of her head, but she never really talked about them because she knew Luke didn't wanted to. But now that she had seen Luke's hidden secret, she wanted to know.

"Yeah," He hiccuped, "It's her."

Logan nodded shortly, Luke confirmed what she already knew. Logan wasn't mad, or irritated, just curious as to what happened between the two because they had been nothing but awkward towards each other.

"She used to be so far away but now she's so close and I don't want her to be," He mumbled, and it wasn't sure if Logan was supposed to hear it, but everything sounded loud in a silenced car.

"I know you don't want to talk about it so I'm just gonna let it g-"

"I was married to Grace." Luke blurted out suddenly, clearing his threat after the words just fell from his silent mouth. "I was married to pure toxic. Pure poison."

It wasn't a surprise when Luke told her this. She had already figured out that they dated, and dating mostly lead to marriage. She had already thought about such thing and so, it didn't take her off guard.

From what Logan had seen at the gym, Luke and Grace were both snappy but sad. Logan knew something bad had happened between the two of them, and she was dreading to know. For now, she just wanted Luke to calm down because he was acting hysterical.

"Everything's okay now Luke," She assured him, although she sent a small prayer up in the hope she was right and that everything would indeed be okay.

"She's capable of everything Lo, don't underestimate her. I did and she got me fucked up." Luke shivered, ducking further into his hoodie.

"What happened, Luke?" She decided to ask him, not wanting to pressure him but she was a curious wreck.

Luke sighed deeply, "I lost my company because of her, I was hooked to cocaine and I ended up fucking marrying her anyways." He chuckled at himself, "Stupid. Stupid as fuck. And yet, I still believed her when she said she didn't cheat on me. How pathetic."

Logan sighed softly, reaching over to grab one of his cold hands, "You're not pathetic, dumb or stupid, it's what love does to you. You're blinded, you don't see whatever someone's doing to you. You can't see if it's good or bad."

Luke smiled a cracked one, "But that's the thing Logan," He looked at her, "I can see all the good things in you, there's not one fucking thing wrong about you. Does that make me blinded by love too?"
