Say that you love me.

Veronica was a sweet girl who loved to hang out with her friends and watch loads of tv. She was normal, too normal for her own good. Her normality made her mundane, oblivious of the fantastical things happening around her.

Unaware of me.

I would come to her window each night and she'd have earplugs or cups over her ears that tuned her out from the world. She'd stare at a glowing screen in front of her, blissfully unaware.

What I wouldn't give if she would only look toward the window once.

Her eyes sparkled like the sun, her hair soft like a flower petal. All I wanted to do was scream to her tell her all the things I knew. I was mad, crazy, insane, and bonkers.

I was in love.

"Ooh, Amy posted her vacation pictures finally!" I hummed as I curled my long black hair around my fingers. I clicked on the image excitedly and tons of pictures of far away places appeared on the screen. Egypt, Greece, Italy, China, Japan, every picture included Amy with a grin on her face standing in front of the monuments. I loved when Amy sent me pictures, but more often than not my envy would turn to jealousy and a sick feeling in my stomach would consume me. I wish I could go there, be a traveler, see far away lands and places.

My train of thought was interrupted just as my computer died. "Great." I jumped out of  bed and walked over to my desk with the computer charger. Just as I did, the window flew open unexpectedly. "Brrrr! It's too cold to have windows open." I shut my window, grabbed my charger, then snuggled back into bed. "That's better." It was late December and the snow was scattered in small muddy piles. So much for a white Christmas... The temperature had dropped significantly which sent chills of ice sweeping through the air and pressed against the glass windows of the apartment. Artificial Christmas bells and sounds echoed through the streets, reminiscent of the holidays only a few days prior. It was far too lonely for Winter break! The quiet calm gave off a depressing sigh that made me wish I could go somewhere, anywhere. I want to go on an adventure so terribly!

I flopped down on my bed face first. The soft cotton comforter brushed against my cheeks and warmed my face. A sudden sleepiness then overcame me. It was wonderful, similar to the feeling one gets when falling asleep next to the fireplace or in a pile of pillows. As I dozed off, I thought I felt the familiar feeling of winter wind graze my ankles. I must've forgotten to close the window again...

"Where am I?" As I opened my eyes I found myself in the middle of a jungle full of lush greenery.

"Good morning, love." A figure of a boy stepped out from behind the trees. He had dazzling green eyes and wore a malicious grin.

"Who are you?" I slowly rose to my feet and my knees started to shake under me. My pajama pants swayed slowly against my ankles and were now dirty with dust and dried leaves.

"Who am I?" He chuckled darkly. "My dear, don't you know?"

"No, I'm afraid I don't."

"My name is Peter, Peter Pan." He bowed deeply then looked me in the eyes. "Welcome to Neverland."

"Whoa, Neverland? Like from Disney and OUAT?" My eyes lit up with excitement.

"Excuse me?"

"Oh my, where are my manners?" I curtsied like they'd do in historical movies. "My name is Veronica Summers." I can't believe this was happening! I was right here in front of Peter Pan. He was so handsome!

"Alright...moving on." He cleared his throat. "You do understand that this is my island and so you will follow my rules, correct?"

"Yes,"
