MAGIC POTIONS

CLARY AND I WAITED FOR LUKE TO WAKE UP. My heart ached for him. I frowned when I looked at him. Clary breathed heavily. "You okay?" Simon asked Clary. He placed a hand on her shoulder. I felt Clair jump beside me. "Hey, it's just me." Simon said. Clary got up. "I know how much he means to you and Bella"

"Bell, how could we have ever doubted him?" Clary asked me. "Simon, he's the only Father Bella and I have ever known. I-I can't loose him. We can't loose him." Simon hugged Clary and I looked at Luke again. "I've got a good vibe from this Magnus Bane guy. He seems to know what he's doing." Simon said.

We can only hope for the best.

"The bark will stop the transformation for now, but Luke still needs an antidote to stop the poison in his system," Magnus says. He brought a bowl over to us.

"And I don't have all the ingredients here." I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "Okay. Just tell me where and how to get it."

"No, you stay here. You too, Clary." Magnus said.

"Luke will need you both if he wakes up." Magnus said to Clair and I. I got angry. "When he wakes up!" I hissed at Magnus.

"I'll go," Simon said, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"No. I'll go," Jace said. He walked in.

I stared at his face, my eyes widened. What the hell happened to him? "Uh Jace, what happened to your face? Haha that rhymed... ahh," I said awkwardly, bouncing up and down on my feet lightly. Jace glared. "Luke's car may have found its way into a pole while I was stashing it." I chuckled. "I don't do mundane driving."

"Yeah, apparently." I murmured.

"What do you need for the antidote?" Simon asked.

"I'll go." Jace grabbed Simon's arm.

"Phoenix eyes, moon salt, and Idris fulgurite," Magnus explained. He rushed around in his apartment. "One trip to the pharmacy. It'll take two seconds. I know a guy. Get off me." Simon said, pushing Jace's hand away. I sighed.

"And, uh, I don't need him." Jace said. He has a name, I thought. "One more thing. I need Alexander." Magnus said. I narrowed my eyes.

"Uh, why do you need Alec?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest.

"Virgin Shadowhunter energy."

Simon scoffed. "Wow, that explains so much."

"Um, Alec. Um, yeah..." Jace said. "I can't."

"Jace, just ask. Please," Clair said to him, placing a hand on his arm. "You guys need to talk," I said.

"Trouble in paradise?" Magnus asked, raising an eyebrow. "Fine. Just don't talk to me," Jace said to Simon. They walked out of Magnus apartment.

I sighed.

-

Clary and I were with Magnus. He was making some potion for Luke. "What's all this stuff for?" I asked, looking at all of the different colours in the science looking bottles in the glass. "The base for the position," Magnus said. "Stir." Magnus said to Clair.

Clary then started stirring. "We need to have it ready before your boy toys get back in time." I scrunched my face up.

"And what if they don't get back in time?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You can't think like that, biscuit," Magnus said to me. I frowned, running a hand through my hair.

"But that's all I can think about!" I whined. Magnus scoffed. "Magnus, I don't know if I can do this anymore." I say with tears filling my eyes. "I'm an art student. All of our adventures are supposed to be two-dimensional," I said.

"Who say's?" Magnus asked.

"Me."

"look, it's one thing to draw monster's and demon's, but it's completely different to see them up close and personal." Clary explained to Magnus. I nodded, agreeing. Very much so. "We don't know what we're doing," Clair said. "Don't sell yourself short Bella, Clary." Magnus said, "You forget. I've seen you in action. Fairchild."

"Jocelyn!" Luke. That's Luke. "No, don't...don't touch her." Luke said. "Wait, don't. Don't touch her!"

"Luke," I whispered. I ran over there. "Luke, I'm here. I'm here." "Let me take your pain away," Magnus said, he and Clary both rushed over here. "No. No." Luke said.

"Agnation only makes the venom work faster." Magnus said. "I need to tell Bella and Clary," Luke said. "Save your strength." "No. You two need to know. No, please." "Magnus, do it." I said. "You need to tell them. All of it," Luke said, "Promise me." Magnus did some magic.

"The poison is spreading," Magnus said, "Your suitors need to hurry."
