So she was placed in V-4 also know as Earth, when she arrived at the place it was as if I stepped into an underground horror land. There were people working hard, dirty and sweaty. Even people at the youngest age were at work. a soft sigh left her lips as she looked around for her guardian. He was supposed to be here waiting for her. She just arrived here at V-4 and already anyone could tell that she hate it.

"Esther?"  a voice call out causing her to spin around.  The young lady came face to face with a young man,  maybe in his late twenties,  standing there wearing a dirty plaid shirt and a pair of jeans. He had short, wavy, black hair: brown eyes and a slight stubble. She put on a smile and walked over to him.  He didn't even reciprocate the smile, all he did was nod and lead her to an old car. He opened the backseat door and Esther got in still clutching her bag in her hand. The older man walked to the front and sat down. He started up the car and we drove off.

Her gaze went out the car window and she couldn't help but notice how poor the area looked, Her heart broke when she realized how they were treated, and Esther certainly did not want to be treated in the same way, although she had a feeling that she was about to. Her mind was far away when I heard the man say something.

"What?" Her voice raised slightly so he could hear her.

"I asked you what your full name was." He said as he glanced back at her through the car's rearview mirror.

"It's Esther Lovist." her words sounding as soft as ever as she fiddled with herfingers.

"I'm Levin and as you maybe figured out, I am also your guardian." He added as he stopped at a traffic light.

"Do you live with anyone else?" Esther asked curiously.

He chuckled at the question which made her a tad bit confused now. His dark eyes looked up at the traffic light and when it changed he sped off. Within a few minutes they arrived at where they would be staying at, it was a huge apartment building with rows of windows on each story. Levin parked the car and walked to the front door of the apartment. He knocked three times then he paused. Someone on the other side unlocked the door and he pulled it open. Levin gestured for the new addition to the vicinity to come out, and so she did.Slowly getting out of the car with her bag in her arms.

Her steps were light as she walked inside of the place and looked around. It was a vast and empty room. The walls were painted with a sickly yellow colour and most of it was peeling off. There was one light bulb that lit the entire room, every now and then the light would flicker on and off. The room had a mouldy scent yet no one seemed to mind it except Esther. There stood one table to the far end of the room where a young lady stood writing in a book. A bell was placed next to the book.

Levin walked up to the desk and spoke with the lady. He maintained a straight face through the whole conversation while the younger girl couldn't help but noticed the girl blushing like crazy. Esther raised an eyebrow at how oblivious Levin seemed to be to the girl's flirtatious attitude.  But then again, maybe it was because Levin had his own partner upstairs already.  Levin took something from the girl's hand and then walked over to Esther.

"Here is the key to our room." He said as he threw the key up in the air and caught it as it landed back in his hand.

"Our room?" She asked, he nodded and helped lift her bag as they walked to the elevator. Once inside he dropped the bag on the floor of the elevator and ran his fingers through his hair. Esther looked down at my feet and then back up at him, her lips parted as she was about to speak when the elevator came to a sudden stop and the lights went off.
