My Boyfriend's Brother Pt. 2

The days flew by, the three of us spending nearly every second together. I felt like I was in high school again, messing around and hanging out with my best friends. If there wasn't still outside worries of life, it would've really been like those old times. It was a week before Christmas, but Grant was leaving tomorrow for whatever celebrities do for near Christmas, and returning again on Christmas Eve.

After that first night, things fell into a normalcy, my friendship growing with Grant tremendously. I could understood why Tyler adored his brother so much. He was goofy, sweet, and not afraid to make a total idiot of himself, which was entertaining.

I had just pulled into Tyler's driveway, ready for our second and last Christmas movie night. Grant and I had pleaded with Tyler for another one for Grant's last night, to which he reluctantly agreed.

I didn't knock on the door, but instead just stepped inside this time. "Tyler? Grant?" I called out, taking off my jacket and setting down my purse.

Grant appeared in the hallway first, wearing a big smile and holding a mug of something hot. I saw Tyler trudge behind him, noticing that he clutched a box of tissues. I raised my eyebrows at the two, seeing the stark contrast of Grant's beaming energy and Tyler's tired, red eyes.

"Tyler? Are you okay?" I asked, pushing past Grant and heading for my boyfriend.

Tyler sniffled and hung his head, "I've got a cold." I frowned, bringing a hand to his cheek, feeling the heat radiating from his skin.

"I see that," I sighed. "Did you take any medicine? Have you been getting enough rest? Are you drinking lots of water?" I pulled my hand away, staring up at him.

"Yes," he said.

"No," Grant said at the same time.

I looked over my shoulder at Grant, who was sipping his mug casually like he hadn't spoken. Narrowing my eyes, I glanced at Tyler again and started ushering him back down the hall. I had him rest on the couch while I got some medicine for a probable headache and a glass of water. As he swallowed the pills, Grant reappeared in the living room, wearing a jacket and his drink now inside a travel mug.

"Guys, we've got go outside," Grant smiled cheerfully. "Come on."

"Your brother's over here dying and you want to take him outside?" I questioned, shaking my head at Grant.

Grant smiled sheepishly, "It's snowing."

My eyes lit up. I absolutely loved taking walks on a snowy night, something that Tyler hated doing. I looked over to him, as he rolled his eyes and sighed. "You guys can go," he mumbled, "I wouldn't want to go anyway." He pulled a blanket around him, his eyes fluttering shut.
