Ghost
{Barry x Reader}

I stepped into STAR Labs. I never thought in a million years that I'd be standing inside this building again - much less under the circumstances that I lived in Central City. Despite everything that happened with the particle accelerator, and my choice to flee this city for another, I guess it was inevitable I'd end up back here.

I walked through the familiar halls, heading straight for the cortex where Cisco promised he and Caitlin would be. I was sort of wondering what the heck they could still work on here, before remembering they supposedly worked with The Flash. Everyone talked about it, but I'd still yet to meet the heroic metahuman himself. Perhaps this was their headquarters. Though, I silently hoped not, because it seemed fairly obvious and too out in the open for that kind of thing. I had learned a few things from my time with Team Arrow, and the location of your secret hideout was crucial.

A breeze whipped past me, causing my hair to be moved out of place. My eyes furrowed at the lightning that seemed to be laced into the cold wind. So, I was right, this was definitely a Team Flash place. I grinned anyway, knowing I was finally meeting the scarlet speedster, a hero Oliver actually held in high regards.

As I approached the final doorway, I heard Cisco's voice. "Hey, slow down," he was groaning, "We know there was somebody in the halls, okay? It's our friend, Y/N."

"And you thought you'd just invite a friend over without warning me?" An unfamiliar voice begged. "I think she saw me, Cisco."

I heard Cisco huff, and Caitlin laugh quietly. I'd missed the two of them so much while hiding out in Star City.

"She's a friend of Green Arrow's, too," I heard Caitlin say lightly.

I let out a laugh, stepping around the corner to reveal myself. In the cortex stood Caitlin, Cisco, and a face I didn't recognize. He was handsome though, even with a completely confused look. "Some call me Ghost," I offered, smiling at the guy.

"Y/N!" Caitlin beamed, running over to me. She embraced me tightly. "It's so great to see you!" I hugged back quickly, thrilled to see her, too.

Letting go, Cisco soon wrapped his arms around me. "Hey, Y/N," he smiled. It was always warming to see Cisco smile, since he didn't do that much after Dante's death. The smile of one of my best friends was one of the greatest things in the world.

"Guys," I sighed happily, pulling away. "I'm so happy to see you." Out of the corner of my eye I saw the guy, presumably The Flash, watching awkwardly nearby.

"We're sorry we couldn't help you move," Caitlin said quickly, frowning slightly.

"Yeah," Cisco agreed, "It's just been unbelievably crazy around here."

I laughed, nodding. "It's fine. Felicity and Dig helped me out, anyway. I get it, though. Work can be crazy when it's actually just working with The Flash, huh?" I smirked, and looked over at the cute guy who was standing there. He had a hand scratching the back of his neck, like he didn't know what to do with himself.

"What? Me?" He asked, coughing and narrowing his eyes slightly. His face was a little pink, and I couldn't help but notice how adorable he seemed.

"I just told you I'm Ghost," I nodded at him. "But I'm guessing you're Barry Allen, right? All my friends only say the best about you." I stepped forward, extending a hand out to him.
