Nikki's shop was still open and so I entered.

"Penelope!" She ran over to me and hugged me tightly.

"Nikki, do you have a daylight ring?" I aksed as the tears stopped flowing.

"Sure." She let go off me and walked to a small cabinet. "Here." She handed me a kinda plain daylight ring.

"Thank you." I hugged her again. "I am leaving town again, Nikki."

She nodded. "And will you come back?"

"I don't know."

She hugged me one last time before I left the shop again.

I unlocked the door to my suite and changed quickly into some leather leggins, a plain shirt and a knit-kimono-thing.

When I stepped outside the bath I almost ran into Klaus.

He looked like he felt caught and had a letter in his hand.

"Nik." I greeted drily.

"Penelope." He took a step closer so that his chest brushed against mine. "Let me explain."

There was nothing left to say so I just shook my head.

"No, Klaus. You explained enough already." My voice was cracking.

His face with those beautiful eyes was full of surrow.

Shaking I gave him the daylight ring back and put the other one on.

I took a deep breath.

"You made my life complete. But as fast as you fixed it, the fast you destroyed it again. And now I'm staying here with my life in pieces and have to somehow pull it together!"

I grabbed my bag and walked to the door.

And without looking back I walked away.

Before I could drive off I needed a drink and so I stopped at the next bar and ordered a bourbon.

I was halfway throug my drink when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Look who showed up again."

His voice made me shiver and I turned around.

His dark eyes were gleaming and he smiled when he studied my features.

"Marcel."

*Flashback*

The witches have arrived in New Orleans and I spent the whole day trying to find a place where Nikki would be safe.

I kicked my shoes in a corner of my room and stepped out onto the balcony. From there I looked down on the full streets.

"How was your day?" He kissed my bare shoulder and I shrinked back.

"God!" I exclaimed jumpy and he sent me a dirty grin.

"My day was painful. You need to get rid of these psycho witches."

I walked passed him over to the bar and poured myself a huge drink and downed it.

"I will. For you I will."

I smiled and slowly walked closer until I could wrap my arms around his neck.

"Thank you, Marcel."

He kissed me.

"I love you, Penelope."

I nodded slightly and kissed him greedy so I didn't had to response.

Because he may loves me but I just stay with him to safe my ass.
