Finding You

Chapter~~17

            “Navia” I called. She flinched, and wrapped her arms around her body. “Navia” I said louder. She ignored me and I saw that she had a large cut on the back of her am. “Navia what happened?” Her body shook and blood began to drip from the cut on her arm. I walked over to her with her sister still attached to me. “Navia look at me.” She did not move so I removed her sister’s arms from around me and crouched down. I grabbed her by the arms and lifted her up. Her head was hidden in the shadows of her hair but I could see blood dripping off her face. “Hold her shoulders” I told her sister. She obeyed and took hold of her sister’s shoulders. I lifted Navia’s face and was frozen by my shock. Navia had cuts staring on her forehead going through her eyes, and stopping on her cheeks. She also had claw marks on her neck. She was covered in blood. “What happened to you? Who did this to you?”

            “I did” said a dark voice from behind me. I whipped around to see Alastor. (Alastor is the queen’s repugnant messenger. He is ancient and cruel. I am older than he but I cannot harm him without facing punishment by the queen.) He knows of this but right then I did not care who he worked for.

            “Alastor, why did you do this to her? She has done nothing” I shouted.

            “You are correct, she did not. But you did.”

            Alastor lunged at me and stabbed me with a knife. I tried to dodge it but Alastor was very fast. He was obviously trying to pierce my heart but I moved and he missed stabbing me just below the heart. A scream broke through the room. Navia flew back throwing herself and her sister to the floor. She and her sister were now both screaming. I pulled the knife out of my chest and stabbed Alastor in the head right between his eyes. His body froze and he fell to the floor. (Stabbing Demons in the heart or the brain does not kill us. It paralyzes us.) I rushed over to Navia. Blood was pouring out of the same spot where I was stabbed. Her eyes opened wide and they were coal black. Before I could make another move I was thrown out of her mind.

            What just happened? That could not have been a dream. Navia has never met Alastor. That had to have been a vision. Thoughts were rushing through my mind so fast I did not have time to process half of them. I put my hands on Navia’s shoulders and shook her. I have to wake her now. I shook her until her eyes opened. I stopped once she was awake. She looked at me confused.

            “Navia do you know a Demon named Alastor?”

            “No” she said. She blinked a couple times and it was clear that she was thinking back to her dream. Her confusion turned to anger. “You went into my dream” she shouted. She hit me in the chest. “How could you invade the privacy of my mind?” Her eyes were blazing with fury.

            “I was curious at first, but it was a good thing-”

            “You were curious” she shouted. She clenched her teeth and glared at me.

            I opened my mouth to say something but she jumped out of bed before I could get a word out. She stomped out of the room. I watched as she stormed off.  My eyes were focused on her bottom as it wagged back and forth. My fangs slid down. I want her so much right now. I got up and went after her. She was in a spare room stomping around the room. She was pacing the room mumbling under her breath. I could feel how angry she was but I just did not care. I grabbed her arm as she walked by and brought her to me. I kissed her. She seemed to forget about her anger for a second but it came back and she pushed me away.

            “No Lucas I’m mad at you” she said in a firm tone.

            I paid her no attention and went after her again. She must have saw that I still wanted her because she dodged my move to grab hold of her. I tried again and but she dodged me again. I tried one more time and she was not as fast this time. I brought her to me and kissed her again. Her lips were damp and hesitant. I felt her anger slowly fade away as the kiss went on. Her lips began to move with mine and the kiss became so much better.
