Finding You

Chapter~~16

            Once in an empty room Lucas closed the door and released me. The adrenaline was fading from my blood and the pain in my head was hurting badly. My eyes began to water and soon my tears spilled over. Lucas brushed my bangs away from my forehead and examined my head. His eyes were angry but caring. He cupped my cheeks and in an instant a wonderful feeling spread through my head. My forehead didn’t hurt, and every hair on my head stood on end for a second. It was like a chill ran over my whole head, tingling my skin. My tears stopped and Lucas brushed away the stray tears that remained on my face.

            He then licked the blood that was running down my face. I didn’t mind, and to be honest I kind of like it. His tongue felt wonderful against my skin. He was licking a trail of blood going down my nose when I moved my head back. His tongue went down to my lips. Lucas made a sound that sounded like something more than a growl. It was deeper and full of desire. I kissed him with everything I had in me.

            I didn’t know why but I found myself suddenly wanting him. His lips were moving in perfect motion with mine and when our tongues met it felt like a fire was ignited inside of me. I pressed my body against his trying to show him how much I wanted him. Lucas gently bit on my bottom lip and I felt his fangs poke the inside of my lip.

Out of nowhere Lucas broke the kiss and backed away from me. His eyes were smoldering and excited. “We need to stop this” he said sounding a little out of breath. I nodded and took a couple deep breaths trying to get my breathing to go back to normal. “Are you okay Navia? I know I healed you physically but how do you feel?”

            “I’m okay. I’m just a little shocked that she would attack me like that.”

            “Now I know that you can handle yourself in a fight against a human.” He chuckled and I couldn’t help but laugh with him. “You have had enough excitement for one day. I think it best we return home.”

            “Okay I’m going to go grab my purse. I left it with Tom ad Vincent. I’ll meet you out by the front door.” Lucas nodded his head and went off. He was out of the room and I exited soon after. I collected myself first and took a couple deep breaths to calm myself. I went to the bathroom on a hunch. I was right, and the girl was still in there surrounded by two guys. When she saw me she backed up a little. The two men were Demons. If they know who I’m bonded to they won’t do anything. I stepped real close to her. I stood over her and hoped the angry and disapproving look I was giving her was mean enough.

            “Listen to me and listen well because if you ever touch me or Lucas again you won’t get just a few bruises. I would be happy to never see you again but I won’t tell you to never come here again. Never touch me again, and stay away from Lucas.” I didn’t wait for her response and left the bathroom. I went to the front door where Lucas was waiting with a small smile in his lips.

            “So do you think she got the message?” he asked. I looked at him shocked and a little ashamed. “You should know by now that you cannot do something without me knowing. I sense your emotions and it only takes a little effort to see into your mind.” We went outside and the limo was waiting with the back door open. I slid in and Lucas followed in behind me.

            “So you can go into my mind and see what I see?”

            “Yes, that is the easiest explanation.” Lucas began to rub my leg. It appears that he is still in the mood. I scooted closer to him and draped my legs over his.

            “Lucas” I said trying to gain his attention. “Why don’t you just bite me tonight and get it over with?” The anticipation of when he was going to bite me was driving me nuts.

            “No I want the night I mark you to be special. You see lover, biting you will be very painful and draining for you. I wanted to make it a special night and not only mark you as mine but also join us fully.” I had no idea what he meant. “I want to make love with you that same night. That way when I bite you, you will not feel all of the pain. Part of you will be in another place.” He gave me a mischievous smile and nuzzled my neck. He kissed the spot where my neck met my shoulder and a shiver ran up my spine. My body was reacting but I just wasn’t in the mood. Lucas stopped and moved my head so that I looked at him. “What is wrong lover? Did I say something that has upset you?”

            “No I just don’t feel in the mood right now. I’m just tired.” As if my body was trying to prove my point I yawned. My eyes watered after I yawned, and a tear rolled gown my cheek.

            “What is wrong?” he asked as he brushed the tear away. “I can feel that there is something bothering you.”

            I didn’t say a word and just rest my head on his shoulder. The rest of the ride home was silent. Inside I went right upstairs and changed out of my clothes. Lucas watched me with careful eyes. I kind of wished he would say something but at the same time I was scared of what he would say. I tried not to look him in the eyes but once and a while I would look at him and he would be staring right at me. I looked away and tried to look busy.

Eventually I went down to the kitchen and got something to eat. I grabbed an apple and went back up to the room. Lucas was perched on the bed, in the same spot where he sat when I left. I sat down next to him and ate my apple. I offered him a bite but he declined. My apple was soon finished and I threw it out in the bathroom trash can. My head started throbbing and the muscles in my jaw tightened but I ignored it. I stepped into the main bedroom and was taken by surprise.

            Lucas grabbed me by my sides and threw me onto the bed. I let out a small cry of shock. Lucas pinned my hands down above my head and put some of his body weight on top of me. I can’t move a muscle. What’s he doing? Lucas was staring into my eyes, his full of questions. I stared back into his eyes, afraid to look away. Lucas closed his eyes and my head began to hurt. I was in excruciating pain. I cried out and fought against Lucas’ hold trying to move my body. My head felt like my brain was being pushed against my skull, and my eyes felt like they were about to be pushed out of their sockets. I closed my eyes and tried thrashing my body but had no luck. Tears streamed down my face. Then the pain just vanished. I took a couple deep breaths trying to calm myself. I opened my eyes and Lucas was looking right at me.

            He did that to me. I can’t believe he would do that me. “What the fuck, Lucas?” I shouted. “Why would you” my throat began to quiver and my eyes were watering “Why would you do that to me?” I managed to get out before I broke out in sobs.

I wasn’t sure why but it just started balling my eyes out. Lucas got off of me. He slid his hands under my back, lifted me and carried me against his chest. I was crying so hard that I couldn’t really see where he was taking me. He stopped at a room, kicked open the door and laid me on the bed. My sobs seemed to come even harder when he did this. I looked to Lucas begging him to make me feel better but he just looked down at me with sad eyes. I was getting more and more worked up and soon my sobs turned into screams. Lucas became a blur in my eyes.
