“Navia” I turned to see Sara rushing towards me. “I’m so glad you’re okay. I was so scared when I saw you lying there.” She looked it too.

            “Where am I?”

“You’re in the infirmary. There are a lot of people in here.”

            “Where’s Lucas?”

“I don’t know. I haven’t seen him since combat before the roof collapsed.”

“He wasn’t lying next to me?”

“No, should he have been?” she looked very confused.

“Lucas saved me. He shielded me with his body. I pulled him out and he was lying next to me before I blacked out.”

“He wasn’t there when I found you. Sorry.” I tried to get up from the bed. “Stop you have to rest. The cut on your arm isn’t too bad but you lost a lot of blood from your leg.” I looked down at my leg. My whole left calf was wrapped in gauze. I hadn’t even felt a cut on my leg.

“When can I get out of here?”

“I don’t know the doctor has to dismiss you.”

“Can you go get him for me?” Sara nodded her head and left the room.

I took the needle out of my arm and stood on my feet. I was a little wobbly at first but I was stable after a few moments of waiting. I opened the door a crack and looked out. The hall was empty. I slipped out the door and down the hallway. I made it outside when Claude found me.

“You should really let them treat you.” I turned around. Claude stood there, his shirt covered in dust and debris. He pulled me into a hug. “I was so worried about you.”

“I’m fine” I said. “Is everyone okay?” Would Claude know where Lucas’ might be?

“Six Myxs were taken to the infirmary, you being one of them, and one Demon was taken in.”

“Who was the Demon?” Could it be Lucas? Hope filled me.

I have to find Lucas. Just to make sure he’s okay.

            “A Demon named Patrick.”

“Navia!” Claude and I both turned to see Sara running toward us with two guys in white coats following her. “You can’t run off like that.” The guys in white coats escorted me back to my room. Sara and Claude waited with me. I saw the shadows of the two guys outside the door.

“I don’t think all of this is necessary. I’m fine.”

“Let’s wait for the doctor to say so” Claude said.

The door opened and a woman wearing a green dress and a white coat over it entered. She didn’t say a word to me. She took my pulse, flashed a light in my eyes and looked at the papers hanging from the bed. She wrote on a piece of paper handed it to me and left. It was a note saying I was ready to leave the hospital. They just carried me back for this. A twenty minute wait, and a couple stupid checks. What a waste of time. I could have been looking for Lucas.

The three of us walked out together. I walked behind Sara and Claude who were having a deep conversation as to how the roof collapsed. I was busy thinking about Lucas.
