Finally, I’ve been waiting forever to see him. I looked into his eyes and almost fainted. Lucas’ golden yellow eyes were gone. They were replaced by beautiful gray ones. Somehow he looks even better. His eyes were like two small ponds glowing in the moonlight. As I stared in his eyes I felt like everything fell into place. I have bonded to the most wonderful guy in the world.

“Hello lover. Do you like the changes?”

“They’re beautiful.” Lucas brought his lips to mine and very slowly kissed me. My body was tingling all over and my heart was pounding. Everything inside of me was pushing me to Lucas. This is being bonded. This great feeling of want and connection.

He pulled away and at looked at me with his smoldering gray eyes. “You are not going to feel yourself for a couple weeks and your emotions will change rapidly. You will be able to feel my emotions for a while as well. But everything will get better, I promise.”

“I’m just happy to be here with you. That’s all I ever wanted.”

Lucas and I sat under that tree all night and talked. He told me things I would need to know and there was a little kissing. It felt so right to be by Lucas’ side. I never want to leave it. Slowly the sun began to rise and we watched in silence. I tried to leave before the sun would touch me but Lucas told me to stay. Eventually the sun was on me but I wasn’t painful like before.

            “Why doesn’t it hurt anymore?”

“Because I am here. In the beginning your skin is very sensitive to the sun, but with me here it will not hurt you.”

“Eventually will I be able to go out in the sun by myself?”

“Yes but it will take some time.”

“So what do we do now? Do we stay here and finish out the year?”

“We can go where ever you want. You need merely to ask me and I will make arrangements for us.”

“Lucas I want to leave this place, I don’t know where to go but I just want to leave.”

“Okay I will make arrangements immediately.” He rose from the ground. He picked me up and wrapped an arm around my waist. We walked in the third building and went into professor Marsden’s office.

“Navia and I will be leaving in a couple of days.”

            “Thank you for telling me”

“Navia you should go pack your things.”

“No I want to stay with you.” I whined.

            I must be near him.

“I know you do but we must talk, and it is no place for you. It will only take a minute. Then I will join you in your room.” I tried not to pout and nodded my head.

The further away I got a pain in my head got more painful. I sucked it up and went to my dorm. By the time I was there I had a splitting headache. I went in my room and realized I had no boxes. Realizing I could do nothing I went out into the lounge.

Sara was standing outside her door. “Hi Navia” she said in a small voice. Sara looked a mix of scared and curious.

“Are you scared of me?” she looked shocked that I could read her emotions.
