“Hello beautiful” he said in a smooth voice.

            “Hi” I said feeling self-conscious.

“I was thinking that I would accompany you out to dinner tomorrow night” he smiled sweetly.

He’s very strait forward, and very cute. I was flattered but I wasn’t going anywhere with him. I bit my lip, trying to decide the best way to tell him no. “I’m sorry, I can’t.” I bit my lip again. “I’m interested in someone else.” I stepped around him trying to escape from this awkward situation. He stepped as well so he stood in front of me again.

He looked at me puzzled. “I think you are lying” he said with a smile.

“No” I said quickly. I swallowed and tried to look indifferent. “Besides I don’t even know your name.”

His eyes opened wide. He couldn’t look anymore shocked if I had kicked him in the shins. “You do not know who I am?” I shook my head. There was no anger in his eyes jus astonishment.

Don’t tell me he’s some really cocky guy who thinks everyone loves him.

Quickly before this conversation could go any further I grabbed Sara’s hand behind me, and took off. I ran and didn’t stop until we were out of the building. We stood off to the side of the third building. My blood was pumping from the run. I feel so exhilarated. I want to keep running, and run until my feet give out under me. But I didn’t, I had to wait for Tiffany and the others. There was no doubt in my mind that they would follow after us. I turned, planning to talk to Sara, but got a shock instead. Ryan stood there with a calm grin on his face. It was so unexpected I jumped back a little and gave out a little shriek. He scared the crap out of me. I put my hand over my heart feeling my heart beating like crazy. Slowly it calmed, and went back to its normal pace.

“You scared me” I said breathing hard. Ryan looked amused. I hope he’s enjoying himself because I’m sure not.

He chuckled. “You grabbed my hand.” He smiled at me, and I saw just how cute he really was. When he looks upset all the time it takes away from his good looks.

“I thought Sara was behind me.” I felt my cheeks warm.

Tiffany, Zoey, and Sara rushed over to where we stood. Tiffany looked as though she was about to burst into a hundred pieces.

“Oh my god. How do you not know who Claude is?” She looked as surprised as he did.

“I don’t really know anyone here” I said defending myself.

“Oh. Well, don’t worry. I’ll get you caught up with everything you’ll ever need to know.”

And she did. She went on for an hour on meaningless facts, names and other weird trivia. How does she even know all this stuff? She knew the littlest facts about Demons, things that only they should know. In fact she talked all the way until I had to leave for my class. My last class of the day was Combat. Oh god they’re going to make us fight. I’m going to be no good at this. Sara and I walked together to Combat since we had that class together also.

“How does Tiffany know so much about Demons?” I asked on the way to combat.

“I don’t have a clue. I can’t believe Claude just did that to you, while everyone watched.” She looked at me with an apologetic expression.  “Are you okay?” Her expression turned concerned. “You look tired.”
