“He’s hot!”

I spun around shocked. Sara never seemed like as the person to point out something like that to me. To me she seemed too mature for that. But to my future shock she was also fanning herself with her hand with a knowing grin all over her face.

            “Yeah, I guess so.”

“You guess so?” She looked at me like she didn’t believe a word that came out of my mouth. “He’s hotter than Texas in the summer.” She smiled. “So do you like him?” She covered her mouth with her hands. “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have asked you that. It’s none of my business. I-”

“It’s okay” I cut her off. Maybe I assumed too much about Sara. I heard movement in the other room. I stopped talking and within moments Brandon entered with more bags.

“Well that is all of the bags.” He didn’t look like he even broke a sweat. I on the other hand was burning up. “Well I have got to get going.” I walked him out. We stood in the hall.

“I had fun today” I said.

“I did as well. We will have to meet up again.” He gave me another breath taking smile. His smiles always catch me off guard. “See you around Navia.” He looked me right in the eyes. A shiver ran up my spine when he said my name. He turned and disappeared down the hall.

I went back into my room where Sara stood surrounded by bags. I began spilling out everything I’d bought, and putting things away. Sara stayed up with me and helped me put everything away. She helped me get my room back in order. I’d bought the essentials. I bought a few things for my room but mostly I bought clothing. I bought a garbage can, clock, a lamp, some books, a bed set, and some extra pillows and blankets. We talked a little while we organized. We ended up staying up until one o’clock in the morning. Thank god tomorrow was Saturday. Once we finished Sara left and I collapsed on my bed.

I had a weird dream that night. I dreamt that people were falling from the sky. But soon after I looked at them more closely and I saw that they were Demons. They fell gracefully landing on their feet. I woke up the next morning around nine. My stomach growled as I got out of bed. I hadn’t eaten since yesterday, when Brandon and I got pizza. I quickly changed out of my pajamas and pulled on a pair of jeans. I zipped up a hoodie over my tank top and I pulled my hair up into a pony tail.

I headed to the third building. I walked in to see a big sign with directions to different rooms on it. I guess they call it a dining hall here. The sign said to go to down the right hall. I walked down the long hall to my right. It curved a little but at the very end of the hall there were some double doors with a sign that read ‘Dining Hall’ over them. Right as I reached the doors two girls walked out. They looked at me with curious gazes, but said nothing to me. They walked on and I entered the dining hall. My breath caught.

This room is huge. Not to mention crowded. It looks as big as half a football field. It was filled with tables and people. As I looked I saw more curious gazes on me. I began to feel nervous and self-conscious. Maybe I should come back later. My stomach growled at me in response. Oh god I’m starving. Oh well. I walked up the center aisle to where they were serving food. I looked out at all the people as I walked by. Where are the Demons? So far I count the grand total of five. There are hundreds of Myxs here. Are they all gathered somewhere?

I reached the line for food. I could smell the food, and my mouth began to water. Then I saw what they had and my heart leapt. They had everything you could possibly want. Before you got in line there was a cart with plates, napkins, and utensils on it. I grabbed a plate and utensils from the cart. The food was laid out like a buffet. I put a spoonful of eggs, a piece of toast, and a blueberry muffin on my plate. Once you were out of that line there was a small card table with drinks on it. I took a bottle of orange juice. Now I need some place to sit.
