Finding You

Chapter ~~5

            “I have been well. I assume the same of you. You seem well off.”

            “Yes I own this club now. You should come by more often Lucas. I miss your company direly.” Jonathan always had a smile on his face for me.

            “Yes once I am bonded I shall make it a point to come visit you. How is your Myx Jonathan? You two have been bonded for many years, am I correct?”

            “Yes. Caroline is fine. She is in the back room taking a nap. We have been bonded for fifty years now.”

            “I am sorry but I must be leaving. Someone is waiting for me.” I took out my wallet planning to pay, but Jonathan stopped me.

            “I will not allow you to pay. You are a friend. Do come again soon.” Jonathan turned and left. He is a very quirky Demon. 

            I started to walk out of the club when my hand was caught. I snatched my hand away sending whatever caught my hand away. It was one of the Myxs that was sitting at the bar when I walked in. I had accidentally flung her across the room. Her Demon had risen from his chair and his fangs were down. Mine extended as well.

            “I’m sorry, sir” she said in a small nasal voice. “Pleases stay with us.” Suddenly her voice took on a confident edge. “I’m sure that I can make it worth your while.” Her smile was too wide and her lips were too full. How dare she assume such things of me? My temper spiked. I flashed over, in front of her. A growl broke through my lips.

            “You are not as tempting, as you apparently think you are. Do not ever assume that you appeal to others in such a way. Never touch me again.” I picked her up by her shirt, and whispered into her ear. “You should be careful of the people you try to use. Because I can read your mind, and I know what you were thinking. I can kill you right now and your mate can do nothing about it. He can try to stop me, but if he does I can kill him and you.” I put her back on the ground and left the club.

            I exited the club, and took off flying towards the hospital. I felt so energized after feeding. I was in a very pleasant mood. (That is the rush of fresh blood flowing through my system.) It took less time to go back to the hospital, and I got back in three hours and forty minutes. Before I went to the hospital I stopped at a convenience store. I decided to grab some snacks for Navia. I went to the candy isle and perused their selection. I decided on Swedish fish, starbursts, gummy worms, skittles, and blue sharks. I paid for my purchase and left. After that I flew straight to the hospital. I went inside and up to the fifth floor. The elevator doors opened to an empty hallway. I walked out and went down the hall and counted the doors until I reached her door. I peeked inside to see her lying on her side. Her back was facing me. I slipped inside and slowly close the door so that it did not make any noise. Silently I walked over to her.

            “Navia” I whispered. Navia did not respond, she did not even move. I walk around the bed, to find her asleep. I cannot help but smile at her and her innocence. I bent down and put my face in hers. I just stared at her. Her eyes snapped open. With unbelievable speed she kissed me. For the first time in fifty decades I was taken by surprise. I smiled and she laughed at my surprise. Everything she does is so unexpected. She always puts me in an amazing mood.

            “Were you pretending to be asleep?” I asked amused.

            “Yeah. I heard you coming down the hallway.” That confused me. I do not make any noise. But then I realized that Navia must have sensed my power. She just thinks that she heard me. She has much to learn, about Myxs and her abilities.
