I've never slept so well in my life.
I was at peace finally, it felt like I had no cares in the world. I was floating through darkness but I didn't fear it; in fact, for one weird moment I felt safe in my own mind.

"Addieca. Addieca, you have to wake up!" I heard a voice cut through the fog and I groaned.

I don't want too. My voice sounded different, hazy and foreign to me.

"Come on Addieca wake up please." The voice pleaded again, this time it sounded less foggy and a bit clearer.

"Leave me alone. I just want to sleep!" I groaned and I let myself sink farther into the darkness.

"Addieca, please!" This time I recognized the voice; it was Orion's! He was the one pleading for me to wake up, his voice was the one I heard in my head. Slowly, but surely I pried my eyes open only for me to close them again when the harsh, blinding light from the ceiling glared down at me. This time when I opened my eyes I let my eyes adjust to the light. Looking at my surroundings, I found Orion curled up stiffly on a hard, wooden chair right beside my bed, his eyes were closed but they flickered under his eyelids. I sat up and hissed in pain; my foot wrapped in clean white cloth and the infection had gone down.

"Oh good you're awake." A pretty girl walked into the room, a smile on her heart-shaped face. I couldn't find any words, my throat was dry and my eyes were glued to the glass of water in her hands.

"Water." Is all I choked out and a knowing smile pulled to her face, she handed me the water and sat on the bed.

"Your husband sat with you the whole time. I tried to get him to eat something or at least drink something. But he kept refusing, told me to make sure you get everything. He must really love you." She whispered and I was very confused; I didn't have a husband.

"Husband?" I asked; the girl was slightly confused and a little worried.

"The man in the chair, he said you were his wife when he brought you in?" she pointed to Orion, still asleep in the chair. He lied to her!

"Oh yeah! Sorry, I guess I was a little rattled." I tried to laugh but I was dizzy and my throat burned. She smiled at me and she motioned me to follow her; I struggled to my feet and limped after her, leaving Orion to sleep in his chair. The house we were in was small and clean with a simple kitchen and a wooden floor. The girl turned on the faucet, filling up the glass and handing it back to me. She watched me with amusement as I gulped down the water. I watched her as she turned away and I attentively placed the glass down, "I'm sorry, I forgot to ask what your name is?"
The girl turned and smiled at me, "Names aren't that important, your husband didn't give me yours's and his names."
Her comment put me on edge.

"Oh well sorry." I looked at this rather-almost- too clean home and I started to feel uncomfortable. "Does your family know you took in strangers?" I asked her, cautiously I started moving from my seat, waiting for her answer.

"Oh no! It's only my brother and I that live here!" She said cheerfully. My jaw clenched and I stood up slowly. She wasn't just a harmless girl who took us in out of the goodness of her heart. I was about to attack her; bash her head in with the cup she gave me, but my plan went out the window when I heard Orion calling for me from the other room.

He sounded frantic, "Addieca?" I cringed when he called my name and I saw the girl perk up a little at the sound of it. Orion bustled into the kitchen and the hard look on his face was swept away when he saw me; it was replaced by a faint look of relief.
