Chapter 4 - Present Day

“No. It’s okay.” I told her calmly. Nagyaya nalang ako na magmall at least to relieve myself from stress.  Nagshopping kami nang nagshopping till we literally drop.

Again, para makilala niyo pa ako, I am Rein Allyson Villafuerte. My friends and family calls me Rein or Ally. I’m the eldest and only daughter of Khristine Erika Ortega and Adrian Lorenzo Villafuerte. My parents are not together and I stayed with my Mom before. I wasn’t really a wanted child kasi. But my Mom’s husband, Matteo, which is whom I call Dad, treats me as his very own.

I have three step-siblings. Nandyan si Seth Anthony Yllustre na pinaka-masama ang ugali saamin. Not actually masama. Moody, masungit, cassanova, and he’s always willing to break every rules our parents make. Nandyan din si Safe Kristian Yllustre na sobrang bait namin. He does everything our parents tells us to do and napaka-bait talaga. And I’m proud to say that he’s been with one girl since 2nd year HS.

My two brothers are actually twins. Yes, they’re both gwapo, hot, and all pero they don’t have the same attitude. Pero when it comes to my sister and I, grabe ang pagka-over protective nila. Mas strict pa sila kay Dad at kay Papa.

And our bunso, Catherine Bliss Yllustre. We call her Bliss. She’s already 18 pero batang isip parin. She’s really bubbly and sobrang habulin ng boys. -.- Pinapagalitan na nga namin minsan.

So ayon, iba nga ang last name nila from me. Last name ko is Villafuerte, and sila Yllustre. Kasi nga, magkaiba fathers namin. Pero ayon nga. Kahit minsan, hindi nila pinaramdam saakin na hindi ako part ng family. And I guess they’re one of the reasons why I pass through every hindrances that I have in my life.

After namin magshopping, hinatid ko muna si Ella sa bahay nila then I went home.

I was expecting for a quite time for myself when I get home pero nagulat nalang ako nung pagkabukas ko nang door ng bahay ko eh nandoon mga kapatid ko pati na rin si Mom and si Dad.

I was too occupied to not notice their cars outside. Hai.

“Mom, Dad! Why are you here? Ano po meron?” I asked them. And napansin ko na they were all wearing tuxedos and ball gowns. Ayos na ayos sila tapos ako… nvrmind.

My Dad hugged me and kissed my forehead. “Hindi ka na umuuwi sa bahay. Miss ka na namin ng Mommy mo.”

I hugged him back “Dad, it’s just that… ewan. I’ve been tired and busy this past few days.”

“Tired and busy? Or you’re just staying here at home and remembering Kuya Michael again?” My brother, Seth, asked me.

Napayuko nalang ako and my eyes were already starting to fill with tears. Pinunasan ko yun and looked at him furiously. “Leave Michael out of this, Seth.”

He just smiled at me na parang nangaasar.

“Enough of that. Rein, you should fix yourself already. Merong party remember? Nasa room mo na sa taas yung susuotin mo. Bliss, ayusan mo Ate mo.” My Mom told me while slightly pushing me pataas ng stairs.

I had no choice na sumunod nalang. Nawala sa isip ko na may party pala yung company namin ngayon. Inayusan ako ni Bliss. Simple lang naman. Light make-up tapos white na dress.

Bakit kasi known ang pamilya namin sa pagiging socialites? Kung ako tatanungin, mas gusto ko pang mamuhay nang simple. Haixt.

Anway, the party went on. Wala naman masyadong special. Pinakilala lang yung bagong “big” investor daw sa company namin. My mom and my dad were talking to people while my brothers and my sister were dancing with there newly-met friends. Ako naman, I just happily sat in our assigned table and played games with my iPhone4s.
