chapter 2

"your turn" I say and he chuckled lightly

"my name is chase I'm 17 , I also love music, my favourite colour is green, oh and I hate homework" he says jokingly at the end

I chuckle, wait homework! oh no I forgot I have to do Tia's homework, shit!

" I have to go, I have work to do" I say grabbing my bag

"wait, can I have your number so we can meet up again?"

"sure" we exchange numbers and I quickly run off

"bye, thanks for the ice cream" I shout

Chase pov

Ever since that day I can't stop thinking about Hope, I have to see her again. I remembered what school she went to because of her uniform. so on my way home I decided to walk a different way which was past her school, just in case I stumble into her and I did

I saw hope walking out of the gate when a girl runs up to her

"I need you to do this homework for me " she says and shoves her homework at Hope

" I need it done by tomorrow afternoon"

" y-yes ok, no problem" Hope says looking scared

"good if its not done you know what will happen" she says coldly and I frown

this girl was really starting to irritate me who does she think she is

Hope nod then the girl walks away.

"cow" I hear Hope say quietly

"hey, Hope right ?" I say

she turns around to face me

"yeah, hey" she says

"you shouldn't let her treat you like that you know" I say, Hoping I'm not sticking my nose in her business 

" I know" she says quietly while looking down

"hey so uh do u want to go and get ice cream" I say scratching my neck

" sure"

we got our ice cream and sat down on a bench.

"so tell me about yourself" I say

"what would you like to know? " she says 

"anything"

"ok, I am 16 years old I love music and art, my favourite colour is blue, I love animals, my favourite animal is a bunny. " she says with a smile at the end

straight away I knew it was her, all this time I had been looking for her and I finally found her but does she remember me? ha of course she wouldn't! Don't be stupid chase, It's been years.

"your turn" she says

she chuckles then looks like she forgot something

" I have to go, I have work to do" I says quickly grabbing her bag  

"wait, can I have your number so we can meet up again?" I say, great now I just look desperate. Nice one chase  

"sure" she says with a smile after we swap numbers she runs off

"bye, thanks for the ice cream" she shouts to be and I watch her run off

I cant believe I found her. I will find a way to get her to remember me. I won't lose her again.

Hopes pov

I quickly ran home, as soon as I got through the door I hear my mum.

"Hope where have you been?"

"sorry I was getting ice cream" I say placing my bag down

"with who ?" she says

"just a friend"

"Tia ?" she asks

"err sure " I say quietly

"what was that?"

"yes I went to get ice cream with Tia, sorry I was late mum" I say, I would tell her I was with chase but she would just ask lots of questions and I cant be bothered with that so its just easier to lie.

"its ok just please tell me next time"

I nod quickly, as I was going to walk away my mum stops me again

"Hope I heard you got your school report today can I have a look" oh no I totally forgot I was given that today.

"yeah" I say as I am getting it out of my bag.

I give the report to my mum she opens it t looks at me with a glare

"what's wrong ?" I ask

she sighs and puts the report on the table

"for gods sake hope your failing every class" she says sounding annoyed

"I'm sorry mum, I struggle in class I don't understand it" I say

"why can't you be more like your brother, he had high grades when he was your age and is now at university and you can't even get a simple grade" she says raising her voice

I felt anger rise in me, I hated it when she compared me to my brother

"I'm not him mum" I say while looking down trying not to explode

"what happens if you don't pass your classes? you wont get in to a good college and then you cant go to university like your brother. Do you want to end up working in Mc Donald's? I expected more from you Hope, your brother never failed to let us down "

that's it I cant take It anymore 

"stop comparing me to him! I'm not him and I never will be. Just because he is at university that doesn't mean I have to go, I don't want to go and I don't want to be like him mum. So stop treating me like this, what kind of a parent does that! " I shout

she looks at me shocked and angry

"get to your room now! how dare you talk to me like that I am your mother " she shouts

I run up to my room. I sit on my bed and start crying.

I love my mum but when she compares me to my brother and wants me to be exactly like him it hurts. why cant she let me be my own person ?

I went straight to sleep, I didn't feel like doing Tia's homework although I knew I was going to regret it tomorrow. Who knows what her and the other will do tomorrow.
