It is five o'clock in the evening. Sherry Nelson, with her solar powered spaceship parked in a tiny garage near her enchanted castle in Cadenza, sits by it hoping and praying that Richard will leave Motive and travel to Cadenza. As she continues to think of him, she sings Giuseppe Giordani's "Caro Mio Ben" (AKA: "My Dear Beloved").

Meanwhile, in a giant mansion down the street, two guardians blow their whistles to obtain the attention from all twenty children who are kindergartners

As the whistles are blown, all twenty children march down the stairs and form into two rows of ten in the central hallway. "Mes enfants," one of the guardians announces, "We have been notified from the Concerto County Hospital that President Herzen Fugue has leukemia. A nurse called on his behalf saying that all of you and Sherry Nelson are invited to go keep him company for two nights. Of course, there will be public showers, bathrooms, two-night complimentary capsules for guests like you, and free buffets at the place. If you can, why don't you all make 'get well' cards for him as a way to show support. When you are all done, please pack whatever clothes you will need for the time being."

After entering the president's room, and sitting by the heater with biodegradable mugs of hot chocolate in each hand, Sherry and the children all gather around in front of him. They all sing three Christmas carols by memory. They sang "Ríu Ríu Chíu" "Gaudete," and "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel." Sherry hangs all the Christmas cards on the window blinds next to President Fugue's medical equipment. After she hangs them all up, President Fugue suggests to his guests, "Would you like to watch a movie off of Insta-Película?" "Yes please," they all respond. Sherry turns on the big television set and opens up the Insta-Película application. Next, she logs onto her Insta-Película account and sees the main menu pop up on the screen. "Hmm," Sherry wonders, "What movie would the children like to watch?" She goes through the 'My List' column, "Let us see here. Well, there is 'The Gold Rush,' 'Le Voyage dans la Lune (A Trip to the Moon),' 'A Christmas Carol (1910),' and 'Gulliver's Travels (1939)...'" The list goes on and on, but the children are all ready to vote for the movies they want to watch. Five children vote for 'A Trip to the Moon.' Five other children vote for 'The Gold Rush.' Three children vote for 'A Christmas Carol.' The rest vote for 'Gulliver's Travels (1939).' Sherry feels surprised with the choice of 'Gulliver's Travels.' "'Gulliver's Travels'" asks Sherry, "Are you sure?" "Yes," the seven children answer. "Well then," Sherry responds happily, "'Gulliver's Travels' it is!"

Nineteen children screamhappily, but one child softly says, "But why not watch them all?"Sherry answers back, "Not to worry. We may all watch the other moviesafter this one if the president is alright with that." President Fuguejoins the conversation and says, "It is alright with me. Make yourselvesat home." "See?" Sherry says to the girl who softly spoke,"He said to make ourselves at home." She pats her on the shouldergently and sits next to the president. All the children find their comfortableplaces to sit.
