Benevolent earth

It's pleasant to recall at the hour of the moon's prime,
a love that's been forgotten at one time.
It's beneficial to remember at the hour of daylight,
a poet's forgotten words on insight.

The earth is benevolent to us who sin too far,
and up above rains down the vengeful sleet.
And there is something else... tla la la la...
after the storm how do roses smell so sweet?

We are ignorant of nothing yet from being children we are far,
it is danger to live on this world so near to the large star.
But how can we not make a living on this world so useful,
with spiritual minds and strong flesh and all?

The earth is benevolent to us who sin too far,
and up above rains down the vengeful sleet.
And there is something else... tla la la la...
after the storm how do roses smell so sweet?
