Friends

-Chris's POV-
I brung my little girl inside.
Her hair and uniform drenched. And red marks across her arms and neck that were slowly turning purple.
With a black eye which was bloodshot.
Also a busted lip and bleeding nose. Also her cheek was scratched.
I looked at her with shame and sadness.
I grasped both sides of her shoulders and lightly shook her.
My voice squeaked slightly as I got emotional when I asked her
"Crissy what happened"
She never answered me, never in look at me.
Her eyes were locked over my shoulder.
"Christa, please, tell me what happened baby"
""They do it all the time it's nothing new"
"Not in my watch.as long as i am breathing I will make sure no one touches you"
"They say such horrible things about you" she croaked beginning  to cry.
I took her in my arms as she cried against my chest.
"Shh shh shh, a lot of people say a lot of thing about me. It's up to you to believe what's true and what's not" I said wiping my tears with  my thumb.
"Of course I wouldn't believe them." She squeaked
"I'm surprised at that. I thought Emily was the only one who really accepted me"
She shook her head.
I picked her up and lay her in the sofa.
I bent over her and cleaned her wounds and dried her hair with a towel.
She got changed into some pyjamas.
"you wanna go upstairs and watch a movie,?"
"Yes please"
"You head upstairs I'll grab some things"
I grabbed some snacks and hot water bottles.
I headed upstairs and lay next to Christa and I let my arm out and she rested her head on my chest.
"The reason why I didn't ever believe them is because, to me, your my only friend" she said weakly.
I kissed her nose.
"Your my friend too."
"I'm sorry I don't call you dad"
"That's okay, I just need you to have more trust in us more okay? We are not gonna hurt you in any way"
She nodded.
"just cause I don't call you dad doesn't mean I don't love you"
I held her close and smile.
"I'm sorry that they hurt you baby doll, I promise I'll make it better, I'll do anything in my power"
