IMAGINE: Newt when he's waiting for you to get back before the walls close.
You weren't going to make it back in time, Newt was sure of it. There was only a few minutes left until the walls closed for the night and there was no sign of you. The blonde man ran his fingers over his lips nervously as he looked down the corridor once more for you, beating himself up for letting you go. He jumped back in shock as the doors to the maze groaned, sliding towards each other slowly. Just then, your figure turned the corner, limping closer to the exit that was growing smaller by the second. Newt, along with the other Gladers, stood completely still as they shouted for you to hurry. They anticipated what was going to happen next, all of them asking themselves the same question; were you going to make it?
"Come on, Y/N!"
