"What the hell?!"

Lindsey watched through blurry, tear-filled eyes as their friends coughed as they bit their molasses cookies. Their own mouth stung but they swallowed the last bit. Their stomach protested but they didn't care. If this was the end, they were ready. They had been ready for three years.

"I'm going to fucking kill you," Sydney growled as she held her best friend, Rylee, close to her. "If you and I both survive you're dead."

Lindsey managed to stand up. The pain was intense, but she could manage. "I- I didn't do anything wrong, what did I do this time?"

Their sister, Amanda, shot them a confused glare even though her own eyes were dimming. "Why? What did we do wrong?"

This shot a wave of amusement, hatred, anger and disbelief through the dying teen's system. "What did you do wrong?" Lindsey whispered. "I wonder. I wonder!"

The 7 girls watched as their genderless friendenemy started to laugh, coughing between barks of horrifying laughter. The 7 girls knew there wouldn't be time to do anything, so they sank to the floor if they weren't already there. Slowly their vision dimmed and then they were gone.

Lindsey watched them, their own body tired. Mid-laugh, she died, collapsing to the floor.

A scream rang out as at last, the bodies were found.

Four young men sat on the edge of a cliff, laughing and talking about their experiences.

"Hey," the oldest one said. He had a rich, deep voice, and the others loved it when he talked. "Thank you. Really. I know I haven't been the nicest person to you, or anyone, but you guys still let me join you. I just wish there was some way I could pay off my debt to you three."

"It's ok! You've paid off your debt by sparing us. You're the king, it's your rules we have to live by," the youngest one replied, with a smile. Even though he was only seventeen, he was the tallest. His hair was long and dark, and it hit halfway down his back. He didn't wear it in a ponytail. His smile was special: his family was known for having beautiful smiles that inspired people. It was said that seeing his smile was like selling your soul to the devil. It made you feel invincible, even if for a little bit. The teenager held onto a black bass guitar, a lightning bolt running up its side.

The king sighed, trying to avoid the other speaker's gaze. "I know. I just wish I didn't have to be king. But, Fate has it that I were to be king, and I have no other choice if that is what I am destined to be. A conqueror, a ruler, a judge."

One of the two remaining men finally spoke up. He was the shortest. "Well, I think you don't have to be what you're told that you have to!" he reassured him. "Choose your own destiny. I choose to sleep."

With a yawn, the young man fell asleep on the final one's lap. The last young man didn't wear a shirt, leaving his abs open for ogling. The man didn't seem to mind.

"Don't worry. Even though you were a bit of an asshole, you still pulled through. That's why we're the Four Satanic Generals."

The shirtless man closed one eye and relaxed next to his sleeping friend. He looked up at the king.

"Don't leave us, ok? We need you."
