Assassin: Initial

Chapter 16

The trip was extremely boarding I'd honestly rather sleep then do this. I get on these trips your to learn things but it should be at least somewhat interesting. It did have it's moments which were extremely rare.

Today was the last full day on the island and thank god the drive here was more interesting. We actually got some free time at the moment to pack our things but I was done. So me and Roy snuck off into the forest.  

"I think we're far enough away. Now I'm still upset with you about what you did a week ago." Roy huffed. "You have no reason to worry about me, Roy. I've got over 10 years worth of experience." I muttered with my arms crossed. 

"That's not what I mean. You could have died in those flames." Roy growled. "Roy you know our line of work death is not something new." I huffed. "I know that scar on your lower back was your last experience, and I know that you freeze when you first see flames." Roy sighed. 

"Can we change topics. I wanted to know what you think is going on? Not for you to lecture me who is your one year superior." I  hissed. "You mean the lack of crime that occurred for awhile in Brightton while we were still there right?" he questioned I nodded.

"I think something big is going to happen. It's never quite like this otherwise." Roy answered. "I agree with you on that one, so does Stan and Icarus we all think the same thing." I told him we then hear a stick snap.

"Whose there?!" Roy growled ready to attack. "Nice going!" Dave hissed coming out of the bush. "It's not like I told them to follow us." Ari huffed as his friends, Arturo and Bella walk out of the bush with him.

"You actually talk?!" Bella gasped I glared at Ari. "You idiot! You shouldn't have followed us in the first place!" Roy snapped holding Ari by the collar of his shirt. "Why don't you talk at school?" Arturo asked me. I looked at them my chest tight as I started to step away.

"She can speak but will only speak to trusted friends, family, and when its need too, like to calm or warn someone." Roy answered dropping Ari before going over to me. He grabbed my shoulder pulling me over to him and under his arm.

Then someone else appeared from the bushes. "S-stan why are you here?" Roy exclaimed when he saw him. "There was a lead we got that lead me here. Why are you here?" he asked. "School trip." Roy answered.

Stan looked at me and then to the other people here that he didn't recognise. "They heard her speak didn't they?" he questioned Roy nodded in reply. "Course. Great you know sometimes people have their reasons for things. You should really respect them." Stan huffed looking at Ari.

"Hey, why are you looking at me?! It could have been Dave's fault for this!" Ari yowled. "No, I like and respect her reason's and boundaries. And these people are your age and are your friends." Dave huffed this caused the two to get into an argument. 

Suddenly I got the sense that I always get before danger. I stiffened and began to look around for the possible danger. 

A gun was fired and Arturo went down. He got shot in the back before we had time to react two more guns fired. Ari got hit, but the next shot was meant for me but Stan was in front of me right as the shot happened and took the hit.

"Pull them to cover." Roy ordered I grabbed Stan's gun as we were going for cover. I fired off to were the shots came from. 

It was a firefight for a little while in the forest but after a few mintues I stopped fireing when it seemed like they were gone. 

"We need to get them to a hospital." Bella exclaimed. "Yes but first you both must never tell anyone about what you've seen or heard here." Roy huffed picking up Stan. "Fine we got it we wont say a thing." Bella excalimed as I picked up Ari. Dave and Bella then worked together to pick up Arturo.

"We need help!" Bella yelled when we got back to town which had people come over and ask us what's wrong. "We were walking through the forest when we were shot at. This man got shot as well. Is there a hospital here?" Bella exclaimed, she was very convincing.

"No you'll have to go to Lakecastle." a townsperson answered. "Can we get something so we can get them there then?" Roy snapped worried about Stan. "Alright but can any of you drive one of these?" we were asked I raised my hand and nodded my head.

Then handed me the keys and we hurried over to the car. Getting them in the back of the car wasn't easy. I had Roy, Dave, and Bella in the back there with them I handed Roy a cloth I soaked with some of my blood while getting back to town. I started the car and began driving off. 

I was driving fast, instead of it taking over and hour it took 45 minutes to get to Lakecastle. I had Roy call into the hospital telling them we were coming. I new the cloth wasn't going to be much help for the wounds but it was going to be good enough to keep them alive as we made our way to Lakecastle.

We got to the hospital and it was really small which was not giving me a good feeling about this.

"We can get them stable for another transfer to another hospital on the mainland but we can't really help." I was told by a staff member. "What that's crazy! How does this make any sense!? How would they get there they are in no condition!" Bella exclaimed.

"We have a helicopter but both of our piolet's are out of comishion at the time being. So they have no choice but to wait." they answered. "We are in no wat able to help they've lost so much blood. We don't even know about the internal damage. They may not last the night since we have little blood supplise as it is." a doctor sighed.

"What?! No!" Dave gasped. "Yes unless you're willing and able to do a blood transplant we can't do anything." they told us. I bit my lip.

"Rox's..." Roy muttered. "Yes I know." I whispered. I put my hand behind my back stepping forward.

"Sigh... I guess I have no choice. I can't let these guys die. I can fly." I sighed. "As if you're too young for such thing." someone scoffed. "Tech... I would hold my tongue if I were you. I am known as Red eye's and that is my partner that got injured. So if you could please get them ready for transfer as I get the helicopter ready that would be greatly appreciated." I huffed showing them my credentials before putting them away back in my pocket.

We made our way to the roof, and I began prepping the helipcopter. "So you're Red eye's!?" Dave asked. "Correct. I've worked for a few year's origionsly as someones aid in solving cases. One man saw my work and had me take a coruse to get my creds didn't take long. It's opened a lot of doorways. I try hard to keep the lives sepreate. But I won't let them die when I can help and pervent point less loss of lives." I answered.

We got to Blackton city and they took the 3 of them right away. I had Roy, Dave , and Bella go down and wait as I turned off the helicopter.

After a while I went down with the others. I went into the corner of the room as I waited with the others. I was a while till they came and told us their status. They are fine lucky for them as I didn't feel as such. Everything that happened to today things are falling appart.

I had to take the helicopter back to the hospital in Lakecastle then took the ferry back. When the school came they were still in recovery so I stayied behind while the other's went back with the school. 

Roy is to inform the Luo's and the other's of what occured.
