"Oh, you must be lady Aya. The master is waiting for you upstairs." The butler at the door told me. I noises and headed upstairs.
"Thank god you're here." A man exclaimed. "Yes well." I muttered. "Krystal's been waiting for you." He sighed. "Oz how about next time you contact my workplace sooner. It was a hassle to get here as soon as I did." I huffed crossing my arms.
"Well, no one else would come at this time of the year." Oz sighed. "That's why other people do these things earlier." I replied. "Yeah but doing it now means that we won't have to worry about any other parties." He huffed. "Stop with your weird logic." I answered opening the door.
"Aya!" Krystal exclaimed jumping on me. "Take good care of her during the party Ayana." Oz told me. "Will do." I replied putting her down on the ground.
"How have you been young Krystal?" I asked. "Good! I like it when you're my guard for these parties. You always make it much more fun." She exclaimed.
"Is that so?" I questioned. "Yep!" She answered causing me to laugh.
"How about I help you finished getting ready for the masquerade." I smiled. "Yeah! Please come help me get ready!" she shrieked grabbing my hand.
I helped him with her hair and dress. "I look pretty. Just like you and Mama!" She told me I chuckled with a slight smile.
Krystal wore a pink frilly dress with white flat shoes. "You flatter me, Krystal." I muttered as I looked in the mirror at myself. My hair in a messy braid as I wore a red strapless dress with black high heels. I was also warning a necklace that had half of a black sphere as the pendant.
"Alright, missy. It's time to get our masks on and go attend the party." I told her grabbing the pink feathered mask from the table.
I helped her tie her mask to stay on. Then grabbed my white mask that has white feathers and this odd gemstone with gold designs on the mask. I ruined it to see and to keep it on my face. I then offered her my hand which she took.
The two of us went downstairs eyes were on us most saying how cute Krystal was. She held on tightly to my hand as we walked.
"A lot of people are looking at us." She muttered. "No, I think they are looking at you. If you're scared just keep holding my hand and I'll keep you safe." I told her. "I think they are looking at you Aya." She told me I chuckled a little.
We dance together for a lot of the beginning of the night. Then it was getting closer to when I would have to take Krystal to bed.
"After this dance, it will have to be off to bed with you." I told her. "Oh alright." She groaned knowing not to argue with me.
"Would you care to dance with me m'lady?" Someone asked me. "Umm..." I hesitated. "She would love to." Oz answered for me.
"Is that alright with you?" I asked Krystal. "Yeah I'll dance with daddy." She answered. I let out a sigh as I took the man's hand. We then began to dance with one another.
"I'm glad that I get to dance with a beautiful lady such as yourself." He told me. "You flatter me with such kind words that I do not deserve." I muttered.
"I am so odd with this hair and these eyes. I am not deserving of those words." I told them. "But you are! This whole night so far you've danced with the young miss with a bright kind smile." He told me which surprised me.
"Yes. Well, I only see the young miss about once a year. She looks up to me a lot since her mother died when she was quite younger. I've grown up to be a sister or mother figure to her for how I treat her like a person than a master." I sighed.
I then noticed an odd gleam of light from the window. I focused my eyes in that direction and realized what it was and stopped dancing and rushed over to Oz and Krystal. The sound of a gun rang through the place right as I pushed them to the ground. I then took the bullet in my side.
"Ugh!" I groaned falling to one knee. I pulled out the gun that I was hiding under my dress and shot at where I saw the sniper. The place burst into a panic when the gun shots were fired and I got shot.
"Are you alright?!" Oz asked rushing over to me. "Yes, I'll be fine. It's not the first time I've been shot and it won't be the last." I huffed holding where the bullet hit me.
Oz grabbed my one side and helped me up from the ground with Krystal following us close behind. I was brought to a room and forced to lie down.
"Let me take a look at the wound." He told me. I was hesitant but eventually gave in. I was surprised how much Oz actually knew of how to treat a wound.
"I'm sorry I couldn't get the shooter." I sighed as he wrapped my chest in gaze. "Don't be crazy! You got shot there was no way you were going after them." Oz huffed.
"I'd say that you're done for the night. You are in no condition to continue. Say good-bye to Aya, Krystal." He sighed. "Aw! Bye Aya." Krystal muttered.
"It was interesting. Call me if you need me again alright I sighed getting up grabbing my things.
I left behind the panic of the Grey manor, driving back I got a call.
"How did everything go?"
"Fine, but someone tried to kill them luckily I saw the gun and took the bullet instead." I sighed.
"Are you alright?"
"I'm fine. It's night fatal at least. But I'll be fine in a few."
"You like going over there don't you?"
"Yeah you could say that. It's always interesting." I muttered.
"Does the young girl somewhat remind you of yourself when you were younger Roxie?"
"No, she's pretty much the exact opposite in personality." I chuckled.
"You have so many aliases don't you Ayana Rosaria?"
"Well yes, I do. I can't make things easy now." I laughed.
"I'll talk to you later alright I sighed. "Fine." He huffed. "Good-bye." I told them before hanging up.
It's a lovely night actually. This would make a great picture. I mumbled.
I then put on some music on to break the silence that was in the car as I drove down the road.
