The Bodyguard

I frown and looked around at my family as they looked at me. I wasn't ready for this but there was no backing out of it. Some people think princes was only supposed to be trained in weaponry. But no princesses are to. Well some are its not lady like for us but yet I do anyways. So let me tell you guys how I got here.

So I told my father,the king,that I wanted to be trained in weaponry and self defense. So he said I have two months to learn something and then when that time was up I had to perform in the a competition. So I was trained by the head of them all. The Captain of the Guard Theodore a.k.a my bodyguard. He trained me and now here I am standing in the middle if the throne room in front of my father and mother,my family who lived in the castle and everyone else who was in the castle.

I looked at Theodore and nod. He stood in front of me smiling.

"Princess Aphrodite it's time." He said and held my sword in his hands.

"Indeed it is Theodore." I nod and shifted on my feet. "But what if I mess up?"

"Oh you needn't worry about messing up." He waved it off.

"Your amazing but we are to duel each other at the end for your father."

"Wait what I was never told of this!" I yelled and he laughed.

"Princess you was but you was to busy staring at my bare chest to pay attention."

"Oh right." I said and smiled. "Ok only three people." I said.

"Are you ready?" My father's loud and bold deep voice boomed out and I giggled.

"Oh father!" I said and ran up to him. I fall to my knees in front of his throne and hugged him. He didn't hug me back he just sat there.

"What Ari?"

"Wish me the best of luck father. In hope that I don't get to hurt."

"I wish you the best of luck." He said and kissed my forehead.

"Thank you father." I said and stood up and watched my opponent walk up. I frowned and Theodore threw me my sword and I caught it and smiled.

"Impressive daughter." Father said.

"Indeed it is father!" My twin brother said and I smiled. "Although I thought the only thing Aphrodite could catch is the flu."

"Mind your mouth boy." Father hissed and Leonardo closed his mouth.

"Yes father." He said and sat down. I was older than him by a hour so that made me Crown Princess.

"Alright began." Father flicked his wrist and I just stand there in my stance that I was taught as Matthew came at me. He raise his sword and I closed my eyes as he moved. I step to the side letting my sword hit his and the sound of two irons hitting each other echoed throughout the room. All I had to do was knock his sword out of his hand and get him down but Matthew was a big man and I was only a eighteen year old girl.

My eyes snapped open and I looked at him. I look down at his footing and smiled. He left his right side wide open for anyone to go after. He really needed to do something about that. I smiled and lunged at him and he came at me. Our swords hit each other and I shifted of my feet and kick him off of his feet and he fell with a groan and I kick his sword out of his hand. I place a foot on his chest and pointed my sword at his neck and his eyes widened.

"She had won this fight." Mother announced and I smiled. I reach a hand out to him and he gladly took it and I help him stand.

"Some advice Matthew. Work on sides,your right side was variable and that made it easy to take you out." I said and he nods.
