Royal Flower Fun Facts

I thought I'd share some fun facts ;D Enjoy! XD

(Spoilers ahead for those who didn't read the book :P)

The Azaleas did not have magic in previous plannings of this story.

Amaryllis, Marguerite, and Aster originally did not exist in previous plannings of this story.

Heath, Fern, and Iris almost had flower magic like the Azaleas do. Heath would have had lightning magic, Fern would have had earth magic, and Iris would have had water magic.

Devin and Ivy almost had a crush on each other in the first plannings of this story. I decided this idea was too cliche, and scrapped it.

Reese and Rose were almost lovers in the first plannings of this story. I also thought this idea was ridiculous and scrapped it.

Tania, Lorraine, and Derek originally did not exist in previous plannings.

Devin and Zane were not originally brothers in previous plannings.

Violet was almost killed off by Chase in previous plannings. She may be killed off in the second book, though. I'm not giving away spoilers as to who definitely lives and dies.

In the very first plannings of this story, the Red Phoenixes did not exist. Chase was still an assassin, but his name would have been Lyle and his alias would have been Reaper, not Crow. He also would have had dark magic, not claws. The Azaleas would not have had magic, as stated above. Reese also existed in this draft, but not as a Red Phoenix. Raymond would have still killed Basil and Flora would have still killed Raymond, but Reese would have asked Chase to kill Rose, not the whole Azalea family. Chase would have attempted to kill Rose, but accidentally hurts Lily instead. Feeling guilty, he would have taken Lily hostage to heal her and eventually form a friendship. Funny how THAT turned into Royal Flower. After reforming the idea and creating the Red Phoenixes, Chase's dark magic had to go.

Reese was almost killed off by Amber in previous plannings.

Rose almost would have killed herself. She may be killed off in the second book, though. I'm not giving away spoilers as to who definitely lives and dies.

If the dark elemental magic never happened and Ivy just lost her earth powers permanently, Rose may have stabbed herself to take away her fire powers at some point.

Aster was almost killed off by Chase. He may be killed off in the second book, though. I'm not giving away spoilers as to who definitely lives and dies.

I almost made Rose queen in previous plannings.

Acacia almost had the ability to purify dark elemental magic at the cost of her own life. She may be killed off in the second book, though. I'm not giving away spoilers as to who definitely lives and dies.

Chase originally had black hair. After finding Landon Liboiron, however, I switched Chase's hair color to brown.

Marguerite almost became queen in previous plannings. Even though she didn't become queen, I still considered keeping her alive, but for some reason I felt like I needed to kill her off, so I did.

Reese was originally spelled as Reece in early plannings, but then I decided that Reese looked better.

Ivy was originally twelve and Acacia was originally nine in previous plannings. However, I wanted Acacia and Zane to have some sort of friendship, so I changed their ages to thirteen and twelve.

I never mentioned Chase's parents' names in the story, but I still named them. Chase's father is named Cyrus, Chase's mother is named Wilma. I mentioned Chase's sister name briefly. Her name is Dawn.
