➵ I Make a Promise

"Oh, so many things man. So many things." Percy mischievously said, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Percy no." I glared at him.

"Percy yes." Percy beamed at me. I groaned and looked over at Annabeth.

"Control your boyfriend."

"You and everyone knows that I cannot do that." Annabeth chuckled out.

"You know, it's getting kinda getting late and I'm pretty sure Chiron and Rachel are going to give me an earful so I would very much like to get that out of the way." I swayed on my feet, my hands stuffed into my pockets.

"We can tell them one embarrassing story of yours, Nev. What's the rush?" Percy smirked.

"Uh, Sally. Your Mom? Yeah, she will mostly likely want us back home before tomorrow so..." I waved my hands towards the door.

"She has a lot of embarrassing stories so she doesn't want us to tell all of you." Nico mischievously.

"But, Nevah is right. It is time to leave." Hazel sighed. The pack frowned.

"Already?" Stiles looked down at me, his eyes turning glassy. I sent him a sad smile, already feeling the water works.

"Yeah, but I'll come back soon. I promise. I'll come visit you guys." I assured, wrapping my arms around Stiles. He hugged me back tightly, burring his face into my hair. Tears fell from my eyes. I squeezed them shut to try and hold them back. Pulling away, Stiles pecked my lips. I gave him a small smile and looked over at the pack who had tears in their eyes again. Malia and Lydia were sadly smiling. "I'll see you guys soon."

The pack all surrounded Stiles and I gave me a huge hug goodbye. I choked out a laugh and hugged them back. They sadly let go, including Stiles. Percy walked over to me and wrapped an arm around me. I laid my head on his shoulder as we walked out of the house. I smiled when I saw Angel Lili and Blackjack along with my favorite pet hellhound. The other pegasi bowed or shook their manes at the two of us. The pack followed, staring in awe as they saw pegasi and Mrs. O'Leary.

Heya boss lady! Missed me? Angel Lili trudged towards me, nudging her nose into my hand.

"I don't know Angel, I didn't have to give up my donuts to my pegasus." I playfully told her. She shook her mane causing Percy and I to laugh.

Boss! Lady Boss! We're stopping for some donuts, right? Blackjack asked.

"Maybe." Percy shrugged. "Depends on what time we arrive home Blackjack."

"They're talking to the horses." Hayden confusedly questioned. "Why are they talking to the horses?"

"Children of Poseidon." Everyone spoke at once, laughing. Biting my lip, the other demigods mounted onto their pegasi, or in Nico's case he mounted onto Mrs. O'Leary. The pegasi don't really feel comfortable with him since he smells like death and all of that. I looked over at the pack and climbed onto Angel Lili. Nico nodded his head towards Percy before he whispered into Mrs. O'Leary's ear. The two of them blended into the shadows. I waved goodbye to the pack as the pegasi started to flap their wings. Taking off into a run, the pegasi started to lift off the ground. As we flew higher into the sky, the pack started to shrink until I was unable to see them. I closed my eyes and held back the tears. I'll see them again soon.

"Nevah Vis!" Rachel stomped towards me as Angel Lili landed on the ground. The campers of Camp Half Blood all crowded around us with smiles despite what had happened a few days ago here at Camp. Chiron was trotting through the campers, making his way to us.
