"Zayn, babe wake up"
Zayn slowly wakes up, feeling himself being moved around lightly.
He slowly opens his eyes, not remembering what had happened at first. The whole room is pitch black except for Liam's phone flashlight shining in his face. He was quiet for a moment until it all came back to him, the memory of what had happened earlier was now fresh in his mind.
"Don't touch me Liam!" He said aggressively, shoving Liam's hands off of him.
He looked around and noticed he was in his bedroom, laying on the bed with nothing but boxers on.
"Babe what's wrong?" Liam asked in a worried tone.
"How did I get here? Why didn't you wake me up when I passed out?" Zayn asked, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
"What are you talking about?" Liam asked confused, really not understanding Zayn.
"Stop acting stupid Liam! The fight we had downstairs just now.. remember that?"
"Zayn, honestly what are you talking about? We had no fight. We finished fucking and we both fell asleep. I'm seriously confused"
Zayn stared at him impassively. "You seriously just told me that you're still seeing Andy and I just remember passing out" Zayn says, whispering to himself. Was it really just a dream?
"Zayn baby, you've been asleep. I cried after sex and you cuddled me until I stopped, then we both knocked out. I only woke you up because you kept tossing and turning as if you were having a bad nightmare. I swear you were sleeping babe" Liam says, rubbing Zayn's back.
Zayn was shocked and in disbelief. "That just- that dream felt so fuckin' real. It was a horrible nightmare, Liam. I thought I had lost you for good to Andy" he said, closing his eyes and clemching his fists.
"Hey now, it was only a dream, okay babe? Nothing happened and I promise I don't talk to him anymore. I only love you and only care about you. He doesn't mean shit to me" Liam said honestly, resting his head against Zayn's shoulder.
They sat there in their bed together in silence, both really just trying to think of things to say.
Zayn wants to believe Liam and stop with the suspicions he has, but he can't seem to shake those negative thoughts out of his head. He's never been with anyone else but Liam so he really doesn't know how to handle this. Zayn just knows he wants to move on from this and get to the next obstacle in their relationship, the PR relationship with Harry- which Zayn has yet to mention to Liam.
Zayn sighs out loud and falls back onto the bed. Now he's feeling guilty and keeping secrets and he feels shitty about it.
He feels Liam falling back onto the bed as well, moving close to Zayn and grabbing his hand. "You've got too much on your mind. And it makes me sad that I'm the main reason why you're so stressed and reserved lately. I know you said you forgive me but one day I hope you'll believe it yourself. And I'm not saying you have to move on from what happened because I know you're still hurting. I just want you to know that I'm sorry. I'm a shitty person to have ever done that to you and I'll always hate myself for it" Liam finishes, squeezing Zayn's hand.
Zayn stays silent, not having expected Liam to speak his mind so openly.
"I forgive you Liam, and I'm trying to move on. We'll get past this, we've been together too long to let something minor get in the way. All I'm asking for is time" Zayn says, squeezing Liam's hand back.
"I just miss the old us, Zaynie. I miss how close we used to be. I miss how you always told me everything and never kept anything from me. I know you're keeping something from me too, y'know? I can see the worry and guilt in your face whenever I look at you. I just hope you didn't use the "taste of your own medicine card" because I wouldn't be able to handle it."
Zayn gulped and squeezed Liam's hand. He loved the man in his bed so much, he could never cheat on him. But dating Harry felt like a betrayal, and time is ticking for him to tell Liam.
But instead, he lies and brings Liam's hand up to his mouth and kisses it.
"I love you too much to hurt you like that" he says, repeatedly kissing Liam's knuckles. "I'll tell you soon."
"Okay, I trust you Zaynie" Liam says, planting a kiss on Zayn's jaw.
"I know we'll be okay" he says to himself quietly.
Zayn feels even worse for not having the courage to tell Liam about Harry yet but he knows they've got to fully get through their situation before bringing him another problem.
His thoughts stop when he hears Liam softly sing an old Aaliyah song he loves.

Zayn loves hearing Liam sing, his voice is so beautiful and soft, he imagines that's what angels probably sound like. It's a shame Liam didn't think so, no matter all the times Zayn told him.
"I love you Liam, so much" Zayn says, turning to face Liam.
He can slightly see Liam staring right back at him, so he leans in to give him a passionate kiss, pouring all his emotions into it. Their kiss is long, tongues rubbing against each other and teeth clashing. Zayn lazily sucks on Liam's tongue and then pulls away, kissing him one last time on his nose.
Liam giggles and Zayn swears it's the most beautiful sound ever- right next to Liam's singing.
"I love you Zayn"
"And I love you too"
