"I got you now! Natsu, truth or dare!" Levy looks really happy for some reason. Probably the same reason why Lucy looks scared out of her mind. I don't know why Lucy's so nervous, seeing as it's my turn, but I decide to play it safer. In case Lucy really does have something to be scared of.

"Um, truth." Everyone looks shocked at my answer, with good reason. It's not like me to pass up a dare.

"I dare you to...!" Even Levy didn't register that I said 'truth'. "Wait- DARN! NO, I CAN WORK WITH THIS! Natsu, why don't you tell us all why you asked Lucy to dance with you during the back to school dance, and where you guys went!" I make a face- that's not as bad as I was expecting, but Levy looks triumphant.

To be honest, I don't remember my exact thoughts before I asked Lucy to dance. "She was sitting down during a dance. So I asked her." Levy prompts me with a nudge of her toe. "We went to the roof of the Athletics center. There." Only after I finish do I dare look at Lucy. She looks almost as relieved as I feel, but in a different kind of way. She's examining my face in a way that makes me uncomfortable, so I reach over to spin the flashlight. It lands on Laxus.

"LAXUS, FINALLY. TRUTH OR DARE."

"Truth," he says in a relaxed voice. I smile; this is exactly what I wanted.

"GOOD, NOW I CAN FINALLY ASK THIS QUESTION. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED WHEN THE TWO OF YOU DEMONS STARTED DATING???" I shout, pointing between Laxus and Mira. They share a glance, before breaking out into a creepy smile. "THAT! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. Why do you both get so... weird when thinking about it???"

Laxus starts, "well, we started dating in freshman year. Neither of us knew if the other liked us back, but I decided to take a chance."

"A very explosive chance," Mira buts in, interlacing her fingers with his.

"Shh, I'm telling the story. Anyways, I had a huge elaborate plan to surprise her one morning at school with a grand gesture that nobody could say no to."

"He didn't know that that same day, I was planning a prank on some upperclassmen," Mira interrupts again, her eyes sparkling.

"Using some chemicals I... found in the science lab, I set up some homemade sparklers and a huge banner. The only thing I was missing was rose petals..."

"Which I supplied!" Mira pipes in again. Laxus gives her a look, but can't ignore the smile creeping back onto his face.

"Mira had set up her prank in the girls' bathroom. As I walked past that bathroom carrying all my supplies, Mira slammed the door open and rammed into me, sending us both flying against the lockers on the other wall. That would have been it, if that wasn't the start of Mira's elaborate prank. The fake locker pushed us back into the bathroom with some industrial spring. I still don't know where she got that or how she set that up. We were sprawled together again, against the far wall of the girls' bathroom. By the time we tripped over Mira's tripwire, we were already tangled in my dumb banner. The wire only set off some shaving cream cannon that was disguised in the air vent. We were splattered in shaving cream, before rose petals were blasted at us from the hand dryer machine."

"We sat there together for a little. I was laughing, caught in my own trap, while Laxus was confused as hell."

"When I finally got my arms free, I wanted to strangle Mira. But there was the girl I loved, doing the thing she loved, enjoying every moment of it. So instead I kissed her." Laxus finishes with a smile. Mira leans over and kisses his cheek.

"... That's all?!" I ask after a while. "That's the big event that you guys get all creepy about?"

Laxus looks thoughtful, "well, we did set off a small explosion and flood in that bathroom with my homemade sparklers..." My eyes bulge. "But you wanted to know how we got together, not what happened after."
