Chase 11

“You should've told me na may ganito tayong gagawin ngayon para natulungan sana kitang magluto.”

He reached for my nose and slightly pinched it. “It is a surprise.”

Being treated like these makes my heart melt. I was never a fan of love stories and happily ever afters, until I saw Aidan, everything turns out to be possible for me. He was just a dream from the past which turns out to be my reality in the present.

I am so lucky to have him. Even if I still have doubts about how everything happened that fast, still, I am thankful that He gave me him. He gave us the opportunity to show what we really feel.

Kahit nakita ko kung paano siya nagpakahirap noon para kay Sney ay balewala na iyon saakin. Nagpapasalamat pa nga ako at hindi sila nangyaring dalawa. Kung pinansin siya ni Sney ay malamang wala ako ngayon dito. Hindi ko sana siya makakausap man lang. He will sure raise his middle finger for me every single day.

Kahit madaming nagsasabi na panakip butas lang ako, he never let me feel that way. I know the truth. He loves me. I can see it on how he treats me. He never let me feel as some sort of a diversion of feelings. He makes me feel very special. He even introduced me to his relatives.

I should stop doubting. It makes me feel guilty all the time. From now on, I'll start believing everything that he'll show and tell. I'll start believing that I was never a diversion. Na hindi rin ako panakip butas sa kanya dahil kusa niya akong minahal.

We stayed that way for a minute. Enjoying the view of the sparkling sea. Watching the bird from afar hunting for food. Nakakita din ako ng iilang bangka na naglalayag marahil para mangisda.

Ang simple ng buhay dito. Pangingisda ang hanap-buhay ng mga tao. Wala silang gaanong yaman ngunit sagana sila sa pagmamahal ng buong pamilya. I suddenly felt a pang on my chest.

Tumayo ako at tinignan ang isang direksyon na hula ko ay isang pamayanan.

“What are you looking at?” May bahid ng pagtataka ang boses ni Aidan.

“Bayan ba ang nandoon sa gawing hilaga?”

Tumayo rin siya sa tabi ko. He towered over me. I can smell his manly scent. His broad shoulders shielded me from the waves of the wind. I felt his warmth. It felt so good to be beside him.

“Yes. Sa kabilang bayan iyan. Gusto mo bang puntahan natin mamaya?”

Tumango ako at ginawaran siya ng matamis na ngiti. My heart was throbbing and I can feel my cheek turning red once more. I feel so special. So damn special dahil sa mga ginagawa niya para saakin.

Nagulat ako ng takpan niya ang mga mata ko gamit ang kanyang palad. Ito na siguro ang sinasabi niyang surpresa saakin kanina pa. I heard him laugh kaya napangiti akong muli. This is all I want, ang maging masaya kaming palagi.

“Ano ba kasi talaga ang surpresa mo saakin, 'by?”

Humakbang ako ng dalawang beses dahil iginaya niya ako sa buhangin. I can still see nothing. I just feel him hugging me from behind.

“Ready?” He asked.

Tumango lang ako at ngumiti. Dahan-dahan niyang inalis ang kamay niyang nakatakip sa mga mata ko. I adjusted my eye sight.

When everything was clear to me, I saw the beautiful sun rising. The sea sparkled as the light hits the water. The birds started to make indistinctive sounds.

The view was so serene and amazing. The sunrise was a great piece of artwork. My heart melted just by seing how the sun rises and slowly gives light to the whole place.
