Chapter 34: Serum

"Is it always snowing?" Lisa asked the next day, pressing a handkerchief on her runny nose.

Xiumin grinned cheekily, he knew he could control it but for him it was the heavier the better. Plus, it really wasn't his decision to make.

"If you can't seem to stand the weather then would you like to change the season?"

They all raised eyebrows at his question, which of course many of them thought he was nuts.

"What do you mean?" Taeyong asked, "This is the Land of Seasons." Xiumin reminds smiling.

"I'm not the only one ruling the kingdom here on the land. There's Autumn, Summer and Spring in a walking distance." He stated and the rest of them just exchanged puzzled looks on their faces.

Sighing, Xiumin gestured them all to stand up. "I'll show you around, its much easier than to explain." He says in defeat.

"I'll stay behind," Johnny told him, reminding them about Yaz's condition.

After getting on a car, and having his men drive them out of the kingdom to what seemed like a winter forest, they just silently followed behind Xiumin as he led them deeper inside.

"This place is awfully familiar to me," Lisa mumbled, scanning the forest.

"Of course it is." Taeyong states sarcastically, chuckling lowly only to earn himself a pinch on the arm to which he whined aloud.

"That hurts, you crazy-" he stopped, rubbing his arm.

Lisa just rolled her eyes and just laughed lightly, "You deserved that." She murmurs, walking through the thick snow with Taeyong beside her.

"Actually," Taeyong spoke a few moments, later he stopped to look around properly.

Lisa waited for him to continue, only to watch him scan around the thick forest with furrowed browsㅡalmost knitting together from the frustration.

"This place actually reminds me of the first time we met,"

Lisa wanted to blush at his statement, but he sounded so serious and intense that she had to avert her gaze from him for a second.

"Yeah," Lisa murmurs quietly, clearing her throat trying to ease her burning heart.

"Come on, we're running behind." Taeyong says, grabbing her by the wrist as he dragged her towards the crowd ahead of them.

"Taeyong slow down," she groans, trying to catch up to his pace.

"Slow poke," Taeyong teased, sticking his tongue out at her before laughing. He walks ahead and stopped.

Lisa only brushed off a few of the snow that were on her coat before rolling her eyes at him.

"Its warm," Mei says, wanting to take off her thick furcoat.

They looked down to see solid ground, fresh and healthy soil just beneath their boots.

Looking back, they could see the thin snowbed to where they were standing. Xiumin mumbles something which made the gates open.

"Its Spring," Kay exclaims, grinning at the other land.

Just before they step foot over the drawn border, Xiumin had something to say.

"I can't follow you in there," he says briefly, giving them the idea to be extra cautious of their surrounding.

"Be back soon, I'll wait in the car." he tells them, watching the group of people walk into the warmer side of the kingdom.
