The next morning, they were busy preparing for the event of the night. Now it was almost at dusk, and they should really be on the road by now if they wanted to be to the ballroom on time.
The girls were ready, but what was taking the guys so long? It was odd since usually it was the guys that had to wait for the girls to finish.
"Woah, Kay look at you." Hyerin commented, grinning at the form fitted gown the girl was wearing.
It was a circle of compliments that bounced from one mouth to another. They were all having a good chatter whilst waiting for their guys to finish.
Taeyong sprays a scent on his suit, which soon diffused around his room. He senses all eyes on him, making him sigh.
"Hey, can you spray me some of that?" Johnny asked, buttoning his vest.
Taeyong hesitated at first, probably because he didn't quite enjoy having someone else smelling exactly like him.
"Do you really want to end up smelling like an air freshner for the whole night, Johnny?" Hansol says sarcastically, making the rest of them laugh.
"Yaz is an elemental, she wouldn't mind a man smelling like nature now, would she?" Jaehyun teased, raising an eyebrow at Johnny.
"Oh please," Johnny made an awkward face, which gave Taeyong enough time to react.
He hid away the bottle of fragrance inside a cupboard. He was glad the rest of them managed to change the subject before Johnny got himself a dash of his experiment.
"Are you guys done?" He asked the group of males hogging on the only mirror available in his room. "You think?" Yuta beamed, combing his hair.
Taeyong and Johnny both heaved a sigh, shaking their heads at their friends that took quite an amount of time to get ready.
"You're all acting as if we're going to a wedding, come on its just a masquerade party. We look amazing already." Johnny stated.
"Hey you never know what could happen. We should always look our best," Yuta teased, restlessly running around the room to find a few things.
"Guys, don't forget that we can't get involved emotionally with them." Hansol says strictly.
"Just yet," Taeil murmurs under his breath, causing Yuta to nudge him by the side.
"Only after we're done saving the world, so hold in there Jaehyun." Ten jokes, but both Jaehyun and Hansol glared at him.
"Ugh, I'll count until 10-"
"Ten!" Exclaims the boy, raising his hand mockingly. Ten had a cheeky grin on his face as he guys chuckled at Taeyong, who furrows his brows in frustration.
