They Told Us Not To Associate

They said it was great,
They told us not to associate.
But how could they appreciate
What their hearts didn't create?

They strive to breath in our painful fights
Nothing to stop them from seeing our falling kite,
But watch when they see us in flight
Soaring free in the night

Out of sight
Our love was
Lost in the night
Though so bright
Our lights grew dim.
We lived in fright
From the watchful eyes
"This is right." They mouthed.

They said it was great
That we didn't associate
But how could ther minds create
Such pitiful thoughts to date
When what they say is so fake?

Though lies blend in with truth
This colour is no green proof.

Must what I do associate with who I love?
Then shall I become bulletproof?
Before the madness blows off the roof?

Hidden under the rubbles of words
Must we hide to ensure
What we keep won't break

Believing to end our friendship
Ended up being a whip
Striking me from behind
At the back of my mind
Creating chaos
That rose
At the end
Of this line.
