Emma POV

" He-He..umm...hey " I said stumbling on my words. " Hi " the girl said with a little giggle which made my stuck get butterflies. I went back to reality and managed to say " a baseball came into my yard from your backyard so I just wanted to return it " . The girl took touching my hand a bit which gave me chills. " It is my little brother's thanks " she said. I couldn't help but stare at her. Oh great she probably thinks I'm a creep. " No problem" I said turning to go down the staris of the porch when she said " Hey did you just move in next door ". I nodded and turned around. "I'm Emma " I said putting out my hand. " I'm Ruth, nice to meet you " she said with a cute smile shaking my hand. " Would you like to come in and hang out Emma " Ruth said moving out of the way of the door. " Sure " I said walking into her house. It was beautiful inside. " Come on I will show you my room " she said heading up the stairs. I followed her and entered her room.

Ruth POV

I opened the door to see a girl about my age. She was gorgeous. That made me more confused. I don't know if I like guys or girls or both. I have a boyfriend now. I don't feel that I love him though. I never had a girlfriend. but her gorgeous looks made me more confused. " He-He..umm...hey " she said stumbling on her words. " Hi " I said with a little giggle. She was being so shy which made her so cute. She looked at me for a couple seconds then said " a baseball came into my yard from your backyard so I just wanted to return it". I grabbed the baseball from her hand touching her hand a bit which gave me butterflies. " It is my little brother's thanks " I said. I saw her stare at me. I blushed and looked down then back up. " No problem " she said turning to go down the stairs of the porch when I said quickly " Hey did you just move next door ". She nodded and turned back around. " I'm Emma " she said putting her hand out. "I'm Ruth " I said smiling shaking her hand. It gave me chills and made me have a weird feeling inside. " Would you like to come in and hang out Emma " I said moving out of the way of the door. " Sure " she said walking into our house. I saw her look around. I then said " Come on I will show you my room ". She followed me and I felt her stare all the way up. we entered my room and I closed the door.

" Your house is beautiful " she said sitting down on my bed. " Thanks" I said turning on my tv. "Tell me about you " I said sitting in my bean bag next to my bed. " Well, I am 17, I love soccer, I am a tomboy , I live with only my mom , and I-I "  she said stuttering at the last words. "I am gay" . My stomach flipped at that but in a good way. She looked at me with a little smile. "That's cool, well, I am 16, I live with just my mom and brother , I am girly, I love soccer and softball, and if we are being honest I am confused about who I like. " I said with a little smile. She smiled and it gave me butterflies. " Well I am here if you ever need to talk " Emma said with a slight smile.

It was silent for a couple of seconds till I said " this might sound weird but you are my only friend in this town besides my brother and my boyfriend " she had a smile but when I said boyfriend her smile dropped. " You have a boyfriend " she said quickly. I nodded and looked down. " the thing is I don't love him and I don't feel attracted to him but I like celebrity men " I said.
