Chapter 9

(Gabriel POV ) (A/N this does not start from where ash left of its starts at the end of the school day and continues to the scene

School was a drag today I had walked around in a daze most off the day thinking about Ash I rather have her here in the school glaring at me than not having her here at all it made me feel even more lonely than what I already was, and Scarlett didn’t help either she such a bitch Carey had to pull me away from her on more than one occasion today, she was pissing me off and I didn’t like it she was acting that way because Ash wasn’t here.

“Hey Gabriel are you ready for the date” Eli asked coming up to me I nodded giving him a half smile I could put up with one date he was a nice guy and he was kind of cute.

“Great come on I know this great food place” He said smiling at me as we walked to his car he opened the door for and I got in I couldn’t help but think about Ash’s truck and how she used to lift me inside of it every time.

“You okay” Eli asked I nodded smiling my smile I think I was getting better at it now I had practiced it before I came to school.

“Yeah I’m fine” I said he nodded as we drove off, it was an awkward silence the entire ride we had striked up a small conversation but it had died down awhile later and he wasn’t really saying anything I could tell this was going to be a boring date we pulled into a parking lot he parked and got out the car opening the door for me smiling I gave him a small smile as we walked into the place it was a small place but it was nice I think it was a Chinese place the waiter sat us down and gave us our menus I didn’t look at it long because I already knew what I wanted I smiled sadly thinking about when me and Ash had ordered Chinese food that was the day we started everything the waiter came back and took our orders.

“Gabriel I know it is any of my business but why did you and your boyfriend break up” El asked I looked at him sadly

“I don’t know why he never told me, he just showed up with another girl one day” I said quietly looking down at the table as the waiter put down my drink I think I had ordered a coke I don’t know why though I hated coke but I didn’t want anything with strawberries in it, because I knew I would start thinking about Ash even more.

“I’m sorry I shouldn’t have ask” Eli said quickly looking worried I shook my head.

“It’s fine I’m trying to get over it” I said he nodded before he smiles.

“Well I’ll be glad to help you take your mind off of it if you like”

“You can try” I said smiling at him as he laughed

“Okay I’m going to ask you question and you have to answer” I nodded not really caring I just needed my mind somewhere else right now.

“Okay what do you like to do for fun” He asked I sighed thinking about Ash I liked to hang with her for fun all the time.

“Um watch movies” I said lying he nodded

“Favorite author”

“James Patterson” I said thinking of the first name that came to mind I didn’t read much.

“Favorite food”
“Strawberries” I said looking down again everything I did reminded me of Ash I still remember the Chocolate covered strawberries and the whipped cream strawberries I was hopeless, the dinner went on like this for awhile we both asked each other questions and talked for awhile until we left I actually had a little fun with him but I couldn’t help but compare him to Ash all the time it was something about Ash that I would never let go of.
