Chapter Twenty-six

"Mom??" I yelled as soon as I entered the house.

"Finally." Ade said.

I ignored him and looked around. "Where are they?" I asked with furrowed eyebrows when I didn't see or hear anyone aside from him.

Tumayo muna si Ade mula sa pagkakaupo nito bago ako nito sinagot. "Restaurant. Mas gusto nilang pumunta kesa mag pa-deliver."

Kinuha nito yung remote control at tinapik tapik sa pisngi nito. "Sa tingin ko reason lang nila yon para makapag usap silang apat ng wala yung presence ko."

He finally looked at me and started to grin, mischievously. "Expect the worst possible scenario later."

I raised my eyebrow at him.

He shrugged his shoulders. "Ano pa ba yung pwede nilang pag usapan kung hindi ikaw at yung boyfriend mo." Nakangisi nitong sabi.

I groaned and threw myself at the sofa.

Just great!

Ni hindi ko pa nga ni re-rehearse yung mga dapat kong isagot sa posibleng itanong ni Papa.

Ahh! Why is everything so damn complicated?

I snapped out of my thoughts when Ade sat down next to me. "Next time, don't do that again."

"Don't do what?" I turned sideways so I could look at him clearly.

Before he could open his mouth, I punched his arm really hard.

I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw his surprise expression.

"What's that for?" He asked, rubbing his arm.

I shrugged my shoulders. "For putting my call in speaker mode."

I raised my eyebrow. "Don't do what?" pagbabalik ko sa topic, looking completely innocent.

He shook his head. "Lying." He smirked at me. "You suck at it."

"Not everyone is as good as Alex." I huffed and snorted.

Ade's chuckled. "Ohhh, trouble in paradise?"

I just crossed my arms against my chest, I didn't even bother to reply.

Ade started to laugh amusingly.

"What's freaking funny?" I asked, snapping at him.

He stopped from laughing but I can see the glint of amusement in his eyes. "Hindi pa kayo nag se-celebrate ng monthsary nyo and yet your so called relationship is already in trouble. Amazing!" he exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear.

I rolled my eyes upward. "Oh please! Monthsary? Really Ade? You believe in that crap?"

"What do you mean "You believe in that crap?" He asked and paused. "Monthsary?" He stared at me before he continued. "Or your relationship?" He asked, raising his eyebrow.

"What does it mean?" I said, defensively.

"Nothing." He said and shrugged his shoulders dismissively. "But speaking of Alex.."

"Gossiping about me?"

Sabay kaming napalingon ni Ade sa pintuan sa pagkabigla at nakita agad namin si Alex na naka kunot noo habang nakatingin saming dalawa ni Ade.

He stared at me as I huffed and rolled my eyes at him.

Ade smirked and smiled, amusingly. "Speak of the devil..."

"And he is sure to appear." I cut him off and continued what he wanted to say.

I kept my arms crossed above my chest and kept my expression neutral.

Tumayo si Ade mula sa pagkakaupo nito sa kabila ng pagtataka ko.

"I'm going to my room, lovebirds. I don't want to be caught in Angel's rant. " Ade said, smirking.

I stood up in surprise and slapped his arm.

He just laughed at me. "No need to get violent. I'm not him." He said with amusement and started to walk away from us.

Ahh! Freaking Ade and him being a smart mouth.

I took a deep breath and strode over to sit down on the couch, again.

From the corner of my eye, I noticed that Alexis was staring at me.

"What!" I snapped at him, feeling so annoyed and irritated.

He raised his hands up. "Let me explain, Sweetheart." He said as he grabbed my arm.

I glared at him and ripped my arm off him.

Alex sighed and I could hear frustration in his voice. "Stop being so difficult."

I stared at him, dumbfounded. Difficult? Me? How freaking dare he!

But before I could regain my composure, He pulled my arm again and started dragging me somewhere.

We ended up in the kitchen.

I stopped and Alex stopped in front of me. "Let me go. You brute!" I hissed.

I heard him groan as I pulled away to snap at him.

Alexis sighed exasperatedly. "Why are you treating me like this? I didn't do anything wrong." He said, looking so frustrated.

Didn't do anything wrong? Is he kidding me? Damn him! I freaking hate him!

He interrupted my thoughts by sighing. "Come on, Sweetheart."

I waved my hand in front of his freaking face to cut him off.

He stopped and I turned around to leave him.

"Wait Angel." Alex sighed loudly, grabbing my wrist before I could make a single step.

I shake my hand off him, vigorously. "What do you want me to do? Listen to your lies!" I exclaimed.

I looked angrily in his eyes as he stared back at me.

"You leave me no choice." He said as he pinned me against the door.

My eyes widened in shock and my jaw dropped in awe.

And I couldn't move my head because of his freaking arms.

I tried to think of anything I could do so I could escape from him. But before I could utter a single word, he peered at my face.

Having no choice, I just gulped and stared at him. He's so damn close I can't hardly breathe.

"Back off Alex." I said, masking my anxiety and nervousness.

Alex raised his eyebrow. "Tell me honestly sweetheart, are you jealous of Katrina?"

I gasped as my eyes bulged even more.

He didn't just say that! How freaking dare he!

I crossed my arms against my chest, fuming with anger.

I tried to control my rage as I stared at him. "Why would I?" I said, keeping my expression neutral. "While you're busy sipping coffee with your first love, I'm enjoying my date with Seth."

Ok! I know that it's a terrible lie but he leaves me no choice.

So sue me!

Besides I'm really with Seth, well technically pero yun nga lang walang date na nangyari. But I need to save my freaking face kaya so what kung nag ad-lib ako? Uso naman yon.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I looked up at Alex and I saw him, looking at me with so much intensity.

He looked at me sternly. "Who is Seth?" He asked, dangerously.

"Why do I need to tell you." I said, masking my nervousness. "Back off Alex!" I pressed my hands against his chest. I tried pushing him away but he didn't budge.

He suddenly grabbed my wrists and pinned them above my head and stared at my face, with so much expression I can't comprehend.

"You're mine Angelica. Noon at ngayon, sakin ka lang!" He said possessively as he claimed my lips, hard.
