Chapter Four

"Where are you going?" I asked him, frowning ng sumunod sakin si Alex pagbaba ko sa kotse nito at ng pumasok din to sa loob ng bahay namin.

"I'm starving sweetheart, basketball practice drained all of my energy. Cook something for me?" Alex requested, giving me the biggest and saddest puppy dog face that he could muster.

Damn him! Who can resist that look?

Trying my best to look unaffected, I narrowed my eyes and stared at him. "Just this one." I said sternly.

Bakit ba kasi ang hirap i-resist ng pagmumukha nitong si Alexis? He could practically get anything he wants pag ginawa na nya yung expression na yon.

Life is unfair!

He gave me a cheeky grin. "I know you can't resist my charm sweetheart." He teased and winked at me.

"Stop being delusional." I replied, rolling my eyes at him. "Pasasalamat ko lang to sa paghatid mo sakin. Don't make me regret it." I crossed my arms against my chest and gave him a stern look kahit sa kaloob-looban ko nagririgodon na yung puso ko sa sobrang kaba at nerbyos dahil natumbok ni Alexis yung iniisip ko.

"Don't be so hard on me. It hurts, sweetheart." He said, faking being hurt by clutching his chest, dramatically.

I shook my head. "So melodramatic." I chuckled before I turned my back on him and walked towards the kitchen.

Naramdaman ko yung pagsunod sakin ni Alex pagkatapos ng marahan nitong pagtawa. "Where's Tita Marge and Tito Rach?" Alex asked from behind.

"Si Dad nasa business trip while Mom is still in the hospital." I answered habang binubuksan ko yung cupboard, not turning my back to face him.

My mom and his mom are best friend kaya close yung mga pamilya namin. Close sila Alex and Adien sa mom and dad ko dahil sabik sa anak na lalaki yung parents ko. While me on the other hand, ako yung prinsesa ng dalawang pamilya dahil bukod sa only child ako, sabik din sila Tita Rose & Tito Ricky-Alex and Adien's parents sa anak na babae kaya sobrang spoiled naman ako sa kanila.

"Is pancake alright?" Tanong ko dito ng may makita akong pancake mix sa cupboard.

I frowned when he didn't answer. "Alex?" I spun around to face him at nahuli ko tong nakatingin sa legs ko na naka-exposed dahil sa uniform ko.

My face heats up. "Really?" I shook my head in disbelief and embarrassment. "My face is up here!" I said, sarcastically habang tinuturo ko yung mukha ko dito.

He smirked at me, there's a glint of mischief in his eyes "I know but you can't blame me for admiring." He wiggled his eyebrows and raised his hand in surrender.

I rolled my eyes. "You're impossible." I murmured habang tumatalikod dito para kuhanin yung pancake mix at para itago na din yung pamumula ng pisngi ko sa sobrang kahihiyan.This guy will be the death of me!

After a few minutes ng kunwaring paghahanap sa cupboard, kumalma na ko ng tuluyan at lumingon na dito para magsimula ng magluto.

Tahimik lang akong gumagawa ng pancake while Alex sat on the stool in front of me, watching me cook. "Can you stop staring?" I snapped at him. "It's starting to get into my nerves."

He gave me a lopsided smile. "I thought you like me staring at you all the time." He teased me. "Dati, you'll always remind me na kelangan sayo lang ako tumingin palagi." He said, grinning widely with an obvious glint of amusement in his eyes na para bang naglalaro sa isipan nito yung mga nangyari noon.

I can feel my cheeks flaming up with embarrassment. "I was so young back then." I replied in a defensive manner, while glaring at him.

The nerve of this guy! Tamang ipa-alala pa yung isa sa mga katangahan moment ko sa kanya. In my defense, nasa grade school palang ako nung nangyari yung insidente na yon. Masyado pa akong bata kaya hindi ko pa alam yung bigat ng mga pinagsasasabi ko at hindi pa ako tinutubuan ng hiya sa katawan nung mga panahon na yon.
