Chapter Twenty-one

Ade started to grab me and swirled me around. "Baby doll. Thank you! Thank you!" He shouted.

I slapped his shoulder, laughing amusingly. "Enough or I'll take it back."

Ade smirked at me. "Ohh please, we both know you can't resist my charm baby doll. I'm irresistible this way." He said, grinning from ear to ear.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I furrowed my eyebrows and looked up at him. "Did Alex say anything about this?"

Ade raised his eyebrow and gave me a lopsided smile. "Are you afraid he won't allow you?" He touched his chin and stared at me. "Since when did you start asking his permission?"

I can't help but blush furiously.

Damn it! I'm so whipped.

Ade's right! Kelan pa nangyari na kelangan ko ng permiso ni Alex bago ko gawin yung isang bagay?

Since Nixon's birthday, everything's changed.

Masyado na akong naco-conscious sa kung anong pwedeng isipin ni Alex sa mga balak kong gawin.

Before I do something or even buy anything, I always ask myself if Alexis will like it.

God! I'm starting to act like a love sick puppy..Again.

Although I admit that I'm still in love with him, I'm still afraid of another rejection.

Though, I'm sure that Alex's feeling is definitely not a sister kind of love, marami pa ring what ifs....

I snapped out of my thoughts when Ade sling his arm around my shoulder. "Come on baby doll, Kuya doesn't need to know."

I looked up at him and raised my eyebrow. "You know that he's my boyfriend right?"

Ade rolled his eyes and chuckled. "Right." He said, sarcastically.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him. What was that? Alam kaya ni Ade that we're only pretending to be a couple? Did Alex tell him about it?

I mentally shake my head. It'll be impossible. Hindi sasabihin ni Alex kay Ade yung deal namin, knowing Alex's jealousy towards Ade.

Pag naaalala ko talaga yung ginawang pag amin ni Alex sakin na nagseselos sya kay Ade, gusto kong tumawa ng wagas pero hindi ko maitatanggi na masarap sa pakiramdam yung ginawa nitong pag amin.

Ang hindi lang matanggap ng utak ko eh yung sinabi nya na "in love" sakin si Ade?

It's ridiculous and insane.

That would be disgusting.

Don't get me wrong, I love Ade so much but my whole life, I treated him like he's my brother, kaya hindi ba kabaliwan naman talaga yung iniisip ni Alex?

And I'm freaking sure that Ade feels the same way as I do.

Kaya hindi ko alam kung saan nya nakuha yung crazy idea na "mahal" ako ni Ade.

Again, I snapped out of my thoughts when Ade nudged me. "Come to think of it, may nangyari ba nung umuwi kayo ni Kuya ng maaga nung birthday ni Nixon?"

"Why?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.

Ade shrugged his shoulders. "He's acting weird. He kept staring at me as if he's thinking about something important pero pag tinatanong ko naman sya, nilalayasan lang ako."

He peered at my face. "Did something happen? Alam mo ba yung reason why he's acting that way?"

I can't help but chuckle. "It's nothing Ade. It's just that Alex is having this teenage assumption that I can't comprehend."

Kasabay ng pamumula ng pisngi ko, naalala ko na naman yung nangyari sa pag uusap namin ni Alex.

FLASHBACK

"What do you mean by "especially Adien?" Kunot noo kong pangungulit dito.

"Quit it Angelica." Alex said, dismissively.

Angelica? Sya pa talaga yung galit.

Oh hell no! Sa tingin ba nya, I will let this subject go, pagkatapos kong ma confuse sa sinabi nya?

Pagkatapos ng shocking declaration ni Alex, hindi pa ko nakaka recover ng dinagdag nito yung phrase na "especially Adien."

Ilang beses na kong nagtatanong kay Alex sa kung ano yung ibig nitong sabihin but he keeps dodging the question, either he's ignoring me or he'll talk about something else.

Damn this guy is so confusing and irritating.

It will be so good If I can have Edward's power so I can read his damn mind.

"Tell me about it or I'll tell Ade about this whole charade thing." I warned him, using my blank expression.

Two can play this game.

Alex scoffed. "You wouldn't dare." He said, sternly.

"Try me." I said firmly, crossing my arms above my chest.

He went still for a few minutes at napapabuntung hininga nalang na tinabi nito yung kotse sa gilid ng kalsada.

He drew a deep breath and looked at me, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel. "He loves you."

"What?" I giggled and rolled my eyes. "Of course he loves me. I know that and I love him too." I raised my eyebrow before I continued. "So, what's new?"

Tinitigan ako nito ng seryoso dahilan para mawala yung ngiti sa mga labi ko. "You don't understand. He's in love with you."

Napa nganga nalang ako sa sinabi ni Alex. What the heck??

It's so funny.

Yung hagikhik ko kanina nauwi sa tawa.

I began to laugh hysterically but stop abruptly ng mapatingin ako kay Alex at nakita ko na seryoso pa rin tong nakatingin sakin.

"Are you serious?" Medyo natatawa pa rin na tanong ko dito.

"Do I look like I'm kidding?"

I chuckled. "Oh my God!" I shook my head. "Ilang shot ba ang nainom mo?"

"Don't shake your head at me and I'm not drunk Angelica. I know what I'm saying. You're just too scared to admit it." He said, snapping at me.

Kalmado lang akong tumingin dito.

"Oh please. I know Ade more than anyone. You're just being paranoid." I said, smirking at him.

"Paranoid?" He shouted.

"Yes. What do you want? Ok sige hindi na paranoid, delusional nalang." Natatawa kong suggest dito.

Mas lalo yata tong nagalit sa sinabi ko dahil tinignan ako nito ng sobrang seryoso.

"See. You're too dense. I'm fucking jealous of him but you can't even see it kaya sa tingin mo paano mo makikita na in love sayo si Adien?"

I stared at him, dumbfounded. "Wha----t--t?" I stuttered. I swallow so hard. "I mean what??"
