Chapter Twenty-three

For a moment, we simply stared at each other.

"What are you doing here?" Alex finally asked, looking between me and Ade.

"Ahhmm..Frappe?" I answered, giving him the best innocent look I could muster.

Alex nodded, glancing around the coffee shop before fixing his gaze on me again.

"With Adien?" He asked, raising his eyebrow.

I cleared my throat. "May masama ba?" I asked, biting my lower lip.

Damn it! San ba patungo tong usapan namin? Why he can't just let it go.

What's the problem if I'm with Adien? He's the one I'm in love with. Hindi pa ba sapat yon?

I snapped out of my thought ng may mahagilap yung mga mata ko sa labas ng coffee shop.

You gotta be shitting me!

Nanlalaki yung mga mata ko na napatingin ulit kay Ade para humingi dito ng tulong.

Napansin agad ni Ade yung tinitignan ko at imbis na mabahala katulad ng nararamdaman ko ngayon, nginisihan pa ako ng magaling na lalaki.

He's enjoying this! Pinanlakihan ko ng mga mata si Ade, nilagay ko yung kamay ko sa balikat nito at pasimpleng kinurot yung likod nito.

I'm grinding my teeth while smiling at him. "Ade. Your friend is here. Puntahan mo na kaya sa labas. " I gripped his shoulder tight. "Once in your life, maging gentleman ka naman."

Ade chuckled and looked up at me with an amused smile. "You noticed that I'm still here?" He asked with feigned surprise.

I raised my eyebrow. "Ade." I warned him.

He chuckled and grinned at me. "Just let her, Baby doll. I'm enjoying my stay in here, libre ang drama." Nakangisi nitong sabi. Hindi pa rin to tumatayo at prenteng prente pa rin tong nakaupo na para bang wala naman kaming dapat ikabahala.

Naiinis na kinurot ko ulit yung likod nito. "Ok. Ok. Woman! No need to get violent."

He stood up, took a sip from my frappe and walked away.

I just shake my head in disbelief and frustration.

Nakailang hakbang nato, palayo samin ng lumingon pa ulit to. "Oh! I forgot my manners." He looked and smirked at Alex. "Hello Kuya."

He winked at me at tumalikod na ulit to samin para puntahan si Lenie.

I just rolled my eyes at his antics. He's acting like a freaking teenager. How old is he? Fifteen?

Lakas mang inis.

I looked up at Alex and he's staring at my face, using his blank expression.

Oh! Oh! I'm in trouble.

I gulped and sighed. "So...." I paused before meeting his eyes.

Alex raised his eyebrow. "So, who's she?" He asked, his expression is serious.

Tumingin to gawi nila Ade at Lenie na nag uusap sa labas.

I shrugged my shoulder. "Just someone."

"Just someone?" He responded, raising his eyebrow.

"You know how Ade is." I waved my hand, dismissively.

"I'm curious." He said, shrugging his shoulders. "Paano mo sya nakilala?"

"Hindi.."

Alex cut me off. "Don't you dare deny it Angelica. Panay yung tingin ng babae dito sa gawi mo kaya sigurado ako na kilala ka nya."
