Chapter Twenty-Eight: The Goblet Of Fire

I got up to go see if Ginny was okay but Hermione shook her head.

"Give her some air, Maddie." I hesitantly sat back down as all eyes were on me.

"Hermione, what does she mean on getting the guy?" Hermione sighs and gestures to Harry. What does that-

"Oh my God." I say under my breath. I stole her guy.

"Merlin, I am such a terrible person." Harry rubs my knee as I put my head in my hands.

"Madeline, you aren't a terrible person." Harry grabbed my hand.

"Harry, thanks for the words of encouragement but I have to go talk to my sister." he nodded. I got up and snuck out of the Great Hall.

"Weasley!" I heard a shout from behind me. I turned around slightly to see who it was.

Oh, I can't deal with this right now.

I continued walking, pretending like I didn't hear him.

"Madeline Weasley, I know you can hear me." I stopped and sighed.

"What is it Draco?"

"Is it true you are dating Potter?" I sighed and nodded. He scoffed.

"I told you that Potter was tr-"

"That was you?" I shook my head. Malfoy sent the letter?

"Of course it was! Who else do you think sent it?"

"Look Draco, I appreciate it but I really don't have time to talk right now." I sprinted up the stairs before he could argue and ascended to the common room.

I opened the door slightly and I could hear quiet sobs coming from the girls dormitories. I slowly crept up the stairs and stopped at our door.

I knocked and the sobs stopped.

"Who is it?" Ginny's voice cried. I could tell she was trying to hide the fact she'd been crying.

"It's Maddie." no answer.

"Go Away!" she cried and I slowly crept in.

"Ginny, we need to talk." the sight of her made me want to cry. Eyes red and face swollen.

"Ginny, I am so sorry. I didn't know you liked Harry. If I did, I wouldn't have-"

"Madeline, it's alright. He asked you."

"I don't care if I was in love with a bloody boggart! If you liked him, I would have never said yes." she laughed a little at my example.

"I'm sorry." I said, pulling her into a hug.

"No, I'm sorry." Ginny repeated.

"You can have Harry." she smiled, wiping her tears.

"Gin-"

"No, I want you two together." she smiled.

"He makes you happy and you make him happy. I can tell." I pulled her into another hug.

"Thanks Ginny."

"Do you want me to stay here with you or are you coming down?" she shrugged.

"I think I am going to take a shower and go to bed." I nodded and we spit our ways.

"Madeline," I heard a familiar voice from behind me. "Madeline wait." I stopped and Draco stood in front of me.

"You can't be with Potter." I furrowed my brow.

"Why not?"

"Because-" I felt his lips on mine and I stood shocked. I wanted so badly to push him away but I couldn't. I don't know why. I know this was so wrong but something inside me wouldn't let me let go. He pulled away slowly and smiled.

"Why didn't you push away?"

"I-I-"

"That's all I needed to know." he smiled and went the same direction.

Bloody hell, what just happened?

All these characters belong to J.K. Rowling. All credit goes to her for some of the plot and all of setting (characters, etc.) I made Maddie Weasley, that is it. I am just a girl who wants to write fanfictions.
