Chapter Four

Chapter Four: The Chamber Of Secrets

Ginny and I walked to breakfast because Hermione already left.

"You know you can tell me anything, right?" she looked me in the eye.

"I know." I nodded and pushed open the doors to the Great Hall. I sat down next to George and he messed up my hair.

"How's my little sis?" I glared at him and fixed my hair.

"Never do that again." his eyes went wide and he nudged me. I smirked a little and started eating.

"So, when is your first Quidditch game, Harry?" Ron asked Harry with a mouthful. I rolled my eyes.

"Tomorrow, I am really excited to get going again." he looked at his plate nervously.

"You'll do great, Harry." I smiled and he nodded.

"Thanks Maddie." Neville sat down on my other side and I smiled.

"Hey Neville, how are you?" he still looked shocked I was talking to him. He must not have much friends.

"G-good."

"What classes do you have, I forgot to ask." I said, trying not to be awkward. He showed me his schedule and he had a few classes with me.

"Is it bad that I am nervous to fly?" I have always wanted to fly but it seems so scary.

"No, I was too. Except, it didn't go too well for me." Neville chuckled and I gulped.

"Okay, that's enough about flying for right now." Harry chuckled nervously.

"Are you excited for your first day of classes?" Bill asked Ginny and me. We both nodded. My first class was Defense Against The Dark Arts with that guy from the bookstore. I groaned and walked to the room after breakfast. The second I walked in, I knew this class would be a joke.

"Let me introduce you to your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher," he flashed a keen smile. "me."

I rolled my eyes and groaned along with most of the boys. All the girls were completely lovestruck. I looked at Harry and Ron, and then Seamus and Neville. I shook my head and they groaned.

"This is complete nonsense." I mouthed to Ron and he nodded. I looked at Ginny sitting next to Hermione, practically drooling over him. He started talking but I zoned out, this class is ridiculous.

"Cornish Pixies?" Seamus chuckled.

"Freshly caught Cornish Pixies." he reached towards the cage. He can't. Before I could say anything, he released them.

"Let's see what you make of them." everyone started to panic and tried to hide. Two pixies picked Neville up by his ears and I tried to grab his legs but it was no use. Eventually, everyone scurried out of the room except Hermione, Harry, Ron and me.

"I'll ask you four to just nip the rest back into their cages." Ron gave him a confused glare before panicking again.

"What do we do now?" he shouted.

"Immobulus!" Hermione shouted which caused me to plug my ears. The pixies started gliding in slow motion. We all looked up to see Neville attached to the chandelier. He took a deep breath and sighed.

"Why is it always me?" he said stressed.

"We must tell Professor McGonagall." Harry said. Before we could rush out of the room, Snape came running in.

"What in Merlin's name happened in here?" he asked.

"Lockhart released a cage of Cornish Pixies." I said.

"Maybe he's not that smart after all." Hermione sounded disappointed.

"Well, finally 'Mione." I chuckled a little and so did the boys.

All these characters belong to J.K. Rowling. All credit goes to her for some of the plot and all of setting (characters, etc.) I made Maddie Weasley, that is it. I am just a girl who wants to write fanfictions.

Hermione finally snapped out of her 'Lockhart Lovestruck' stage lol. Thought I would mix and twist the time Hermione does but I liked this chapter. Again, kind of a filler but WAYYY more action clips coming, you'll enjoy them!
