Father cradled his broken daughter in his arms.

Blinking away the tears welling up in his empty eyes.

Teddy and Bela Doll hid behind the heavy red curtains.

Confused and scared.

Remarkable toys with mechanical whirling brains.

Created in a laboratory.

Hidden in a cobwebbed attic.

Father gently placed Zana onto the stainless steel operating table.

"We have to move quickly."

Miss Dresden nodded.

Handing Father the cranium rotor saw.

Teddy pulled the curtain back.

Bela Doll nervously bit her lip.

"Come over here little one." Father said softly, beckoning her with a bloody finger.

"I'm scared, Father." Said Bela Doll.

Miss Dresden ran over and grabbed Bela Doll by her nylon hair.

Dragging her kicking and screaming to the table.

Teddy spun around in circles.

Paws frantically covering his furry little face.

A tiny black switch was flicked by Father.

Bela Doll's shiny green glass eyes slowly grew dimmer.

All life draining away.

A memory that terrified Teddy.

A nightmare that kept him awake on stormy nights.
