Born bare as bones,
At my ancestors' tome.
Now I'm just prone,
The poor is alone.
But it's my home,
All I have known.
Though, where I was grown,
Now all is gone.
We've been through darkness,
Past all the carnage.
Fighting for our own freedom.
They broke all our feats,
Broke all our dreams.
Oh, it feels like defeat.
We're in retreat.
Now we're fighting to eat.
And thinking about,
If we'll be free.
For some people's fate,
Is just too far way.
It's a long wait,
And we might be late.
But now it's time to pay...
Well, we've been through wars,
Handling scores.
We've been through so much,
And now there is more.
Some people say,
That "together" is the way.
This is the answer,
That's what I say.
Now we're not just screaming,
For all we've been dreaming.
Our hands will rise from here,
To over there.
They can't control us,
They can't bring us down.
We will pick ourselves up,
Even if takes our luck.
Yeah, we will all wait,
For some hopeful day,
It might be too far way,
But that's why we wait...
Remember how media stops covering,
Us people that've been struggling.
Maybe a little help from a government,
But soon it's really all us again.
We don't have to wait,
For fate change apart.
If you weren't in this before,
It's never too late to start.
You must be thinking,
That it's too far to even have the care.
Now, take a look at where you live,
And what if it happened there.
You have know the urge to do it,
So that you could be reason,
That they see their flag rise again.
Hey ho, folks! Well, I wrote this in dedication to the catastrophic events that's been happening nowadays. It really heartbreaks me to see all these terrors happening. From police brutality to vengeance, from the realisation of the deaths of thousands in the mass war of Iraq. To the homeless, to the refugee crises, to all victims of war, to racism... I have only one question to say to myself, "What kind of place has Earth become?"
May God watch and bless all of us, and show us the ways we must adhere to.
