My North Star

  Show me to the sea,
We are pioneers.
Be with you anywhere,
Oh I'll be where you are...

   Darken up the sky,
Bring up the moon.
So that you'll someday,
Be here with me soon...

   Just follow your shining heart,
It'll be your compass.

   Clear out your fears,
For a thousand years...

   I can lend a hand,
When you can't seem to stand.

   Then we'll stare out so far,
Well you're my North Star...

   (A 3 second pause...)

   We're going through,
The unknown,
Through the underworld.
It's an endless dream,
Like a leaf in stream...

   Under sunset,
Wondering how we met.
Never expected that,
But I sure do love it...

   There's a place in my mind,
Reserved for you and I...

   We will rise to our peaks,
Together, we will be free.

   Thinking of you,
And what we could do.

   Then we'll stare out so far,
Well, you're my North Star...

   Hey ho, ladies and gentlemen, MS here... In the first week of September we're in already, time flies really. Especially with the crazy events around us...
   Well "The North Star" is a romance/scenery-related work, primarily inspired by the elements and aspects of our Earth; with a tangy twist of love of course! I read this with a calm and rhythmic flow to it, and as well as a bit of accent on every second syllable of each line in each quartet; also on the last word of each line, I read it with a dreamy voice, a bit like when you're saying something whilst getting lost in what you see...
