Chapter 32~

Taehyung sits slumped against the mirror, Yoongi's oversized t-shirt the only thing protecting his dignity as he watches Jimin run out of the practice room with Jungkook on his tail.

"What a mood-kill" Taehyung jokes, smiling sheepishly at Yoongi in an attempt to lighten the mood. Yoongi chuckles, but it's an empty noise, drowned out by the tears dripping down his cheeks.

"You can say that again" he sniffs, sitting down next to Taehyung and placing one hand on the younger's exposed thigh, "I'm sorry Taehyung, you don't deserve this either" Yoongi sighs, pulling the younger into his side and trying to ignore the fact that he'd be naked if it wasn't for the black shirt barely covering the top of his thighs right now, "I'm sorry baby, next time" he whispers, kissing the top of his head comfortingly

Taehyung sits up a little, looking up at the elder with hopeful eyes, "so there's going to be a next time?" he asks hesitantly, his voice laced with hope and anticipation, and Yoongi smiles down at him,

"Of course" Yoongi replies, wiping off the last of his tears because Taehyung seems to have this magical ability of being able to make him smile in even the worst moments, "I know it's early Taehyung, but I... I really like you. And I'm sorry for putting you through this" Yoongi sighs a little, recently he's learned that they're all a mess, hurting everyone they touch in one way or another, but he hopes that being with Taehyung can change that. And who knows, maybe one day Jimin will find someone who can make him smile like this too.

"Jimin, please wait! Please!" Jungkook begs, running behind him and letting out his breath in short puffs from the exhaustion. When did Jimin even get so fast?!

Jungkook loses sight of him for a few seconds, frantically turning the street corners, only to find Jimin laying in the same field where he once confessed his love.

"Jimin" Jungkook pants, dropping to his knees and then lying beside him so that they are both looking up at the stars side by side

"What am I doing wrong Jungkook? I try so hard to be a good person, but this is what I get in return? A guy who was cruel to me for years and then suddenly decides he loves me right when I have someone else I love, and a guy who I thought loved me, who was always so caring and kind and put me first, a guy who I thought I loved up until he cheated on me with my best friend" Jimin chokes on his words, looking up at the sky, and Jungkook feels guilt crash down onto him once again,

"This is all my fault Jimin, you don't deserve any of this" Jungkook whispers but he hears Jimin laugh beside him, a sad pathetic kind of laugh which only proves that he is anything but happy right now,

"Remember when we were here last time Jungkook? You told me that you loved me and I said that I loved Yoongi because he doesn't treat me like shit- well guess what, right after I said that, he treated me like shit" Jimin laughs again, getting more and more hysterical as the words spill from his mouth and the tears run down his cheeks, "Who's going to wipe my tears now Jungkook? I lost my best friend and my boyfriend in one night, and look at me, I'm a mess. I'm pathetic." Jimin cries, covering his face in humiliation.

Jimin sobs into his palms until he feels the younger's warm hand take his, pulling it away from his tear stained face.

"I'll wipe your tears Jimin" Jungkook says softly, using his thumb to gently wipe at the elder's cheek.

"Jungkook this doesn't change-"

"I know Jimin. I'm not asking for a change just yet, I just want you to know that I'm here for you"

"Thank you" the elder whispers and closes his eyes, feeling the gentle breeze cool the now drying streaks of his tears

"Let's go back, yeah?" Jungkook suggests, standing up and offering his hand to the smaller boy who gladly accepts, hauling himself to his feet before walking towards the main street with Jungkook.

Their hands are still linked- but neither lets go.
