we were all hanging out today.

we decided to meet in the coffee shop near hoseok's house.

it was all fun for awhile.

us just catching up and talking.

i forgot my wallet so you bought me my usual.

it was so nice of you.

you made me promise to treat you in return and all i could hear was my heart beating against my chest in my ear.

but like i said, it was fun for awhile.

soon, our whole table quieted.

i didn't understand why at first but then i saw it.

a couple came in.

not just a regular couple- two guys.

two males holding hands.

i didn't think anything of it, but then i saw their reactions.

they looked confused,

like they couldn't even fathom the idea that two boys could be together.

then, they started making jokes.

it made me scared.

not of them, but rather what they were thinking.

if they acted like this because of strangers imagine what they would do if their friend came out.

i couldn't.

i just couldn't.

you seemed to notice my new atmosphere because when i looked up, you were staring at me.

honestly, that scared me even more.
