T H R E E

We arrived to the party and let me say it almost looked like the house from project x. there were

people everywhere. Maybe i should've wore heels smh. I was in such awe at how many people were

around me and a bit nervous since i haven't been to a party in years. I am not used to being around

these many people.  I felt my anxiety start to rise when i felt a hand touch mines. I looked up to meet

the same beautiful green orbs that i am growing obsessed with.

"You okay." Chase asked while keeping strong eye contact and caressing my hand with his thumb.

I steadied my breathing ." Uh yeah i'm fine now. i'm Just not used to being in this type of setting." i

told him. "come with me ." he said as he pulled me outside towards his car.  He sat on his trunk and i

followed suit.  we just sat in awkward silence for like a minute before he said something.

"It looked like you needed a breather for a second." he said while fiddling with his jeans.

"Uh yeah, it's ... just i don't do things that require me in the middle of a big crowd." i said

" why is that ? .. if you don't mind me asking." he asked.  No one ever thought to ask me

why i never went to social things like parties , football games.. i almost didn't go to

prom but tahiti begged me to go and i went with my next door neighbor. sad i know.

"Once my grandmother got sick , i chose to stay home and help my sister take care

of her instead of doing regular things high school seniors did.  once she finally passed

away i missed all the parties ." i said fiddling with my fingers.  he put its finger under

my chin and lifted my head to make eye contact with each other . as i stared in

his beautiful eyes , the butterflies in my stomach were going berserk.  "Well i'm

here for you if you need a reminder to make you feel more comfortable." he said with a reassuring

smile.

"well i appreciate it."  i said to him. " i think i'm ready to go back in." i said. "Are you sure ." he asked 

i took a moment to recoup my thoughts and take a deep breathe . "yeah as long as you're nearby." i

said to him with a slight smirk.  He just stared into my eyes for a moment and it felt like everything

stopped. it was something about the way he looks at me that made me feel so secure and weak in the

knees at the same time. I haven't felt this way about a guy ever in my life but i am also scared because

of my fear of being left.

He grabbed ahold of my hand and helped me off his car and i followed him to the party.

"lets go get something to drink." He stated, i nodded and followed him into the kitchen.

"there you are, i was wondering where you went off to." Kendra said joining us in the kitchen.

" i was just a little overwhelmed, haven't really been a setting like this." i said as chase handed me a

cup.

"Oh okay, well i'm happy you came back. you should come dance with me." she said.

"Uh sure , i handed chase my cup and followed her to the dancefloor or dining room persay.
