Chapter 7: The Past

"One....two....three!"I counted. I dragged Yoongi with me as I ran. I could hear Taeil calling my name, asking me to stop but I wasn't taking any chances. I ran as fast as I could and Yoongi soon caught up with me. Taeil was faster than me though. Yoongi seemed to notice that Taeil was getting nearer. He ran faster but made sure that he was holding my hand tightly. Soon he was dragging me. We ran back to the crowded market and tried to loose Taeil but he was quick to spot us. Yoongi dragged me to the car. We climbed in and he started the car and drove off the parking lot just as Taeil reached the parking lot. We were panting as Yoongi drove. I stared out of the window as I was trying to catch my breath. I remembered all the memories with Taeil clearly even if I wanted to erase them in my mind.

*FLASHBACK TO 2 YEARS AGO*

"Ya! Hurry up or we're going to be late because of you!!"Taeil shouted. I smiled to myself. I ran towards him and linked my arms through his. "Let's go somewhere far from here so that your dad can't find you,"he said. I had run away from home for the first time ever since mom left. I did not plan to stay out there alone. Just for awhile to think before going back.

Taeil is two years older than me. He was my best friend and always stayed by my side. We met because our fathers were friends. He was the only person who stayed by me ever since my mother ran away.

We walked side by side and he led me to a car. He recently got his driver's license and has been driving me every where just so he can use his brand new car that he got from his parents for his birthday. We piled in the car. I was daydreaming as usual. I always space out. I don't know why but I like to. It helps me forget about my actual reality. We drove for awhile l. When the car stopped at a red light, I realise that the street were at is very familiar. We were suppose to go to his place but I knew this wasn't his street. I sat up. We were at my street. I was about to open the door but Taeil locked it before I could. "Taeil oppa, why are we here?"I said, frightened. He looked at me. His eyes looked sorry but his expression was so cold that it brought shivers down my spine.

He didn't say anything as we drove to my house. I started to panic and honestly didn't know why Taeil was doing this. He knows better than anyone else what would happen if I return home now.

He drove to my house and I was starting to panic. I honestly have no idea why Taeil is doing this. We reached my house and I saw my dad standing outside. Wait, how did my dad know we're coming? He looked please with Taeil but he glared at me as Taeil grabbed my arm and forced me out of the car after he had turned off the engine. Taeil was dragging me into the house by my arm. When we were inside, Taeil dragged me into my room and locked me in. I leaned against the door trying to get it open but Taeil was blocking it. I heard my dad and Taeil talking and pressed my ear to listen to their conversation. I heard my dad's voice,"Well done. I knew that I could trust you. You've done the right thing. Here's your money." I heard Taeil reply,"Thank you."

*END OF FLASHBACK*

"_____! _____!"I heard Yoongi calling me. I jumped hitting my arm at the car door. I winced in pain and rubbed it.

"Aish. I've been calling you for the past 5 minutes and you didn't respond at all,"Yoongi said. I gave him a sheepish grin and apologised. "So where should we go now?"he asked. I didn't want to go back so I told him to stop by the convenience store first.

I entered the store with Yoongi. He just followed behind me. I went to get two spicy kimchi ramen, two bottles of soda and a few packets of candy, chocolates and cookies. I know we just ate a ton of food from the market but I wanted to buy them just in case. Besides, if I was not going to eat them, I can bring them back to the dorms to eat them later or the boys can have them. Yoongi just scoffed when I payed for the items. The guy at the counter was taking his own sweet time scanning the stuff. The guy was young, a few years older than me probably. He was cute too with his brown hair and cool piercings. He wore round rimmed glasses that suites him and made him looked cute but at the same time manly. The guy than asked me,"For a beautiful, slim girl, you sure eat a lot. But I don't mind if you come by here everyday to buy food because then I can see you often." His voice was a little sexy and mischievous as he gave me a little smirk.

Yoongi saw that and walked in front of me protectively. He gave the guy a death glare. I held my hand and stared right at the guy who continued to scan but this time, faster and looked down showing that he lost all confidence to approach me again. We soon payed for everything and it was getting dark when we headed back to the car. I told him to drive back to school. He was hesitant at first and knew that the school would not be even open. I insisted that he could come with me if he wanted to. He did. I grabbed my stuff and we went to the back of the school. We were quiet just in case someone was around. Once the coast was clear, I climbed over the school wall. Yoongi was right behind me. I urged him to do it as well and he did.

We walked as quietly a possible through the hallways, avoiding the security guards that were scanning the hallways. We went down the first stair that we saw. I went all the way down and so did Yoongi. When we reached the basement, Yoongi started moving slower then before. He looked cautious of the dark basement where were at. I walked ahead which forced Yoongi to catch up with me. I opened the lock to the dance studio and let him enter first. I entered and started boiling some water at the kettle plugged in the corner of the room. I poured the bottled waters that I bought earlier into the kettle.

"Make yourself comfortable. But please don't tell anyone about this place,"I said as I fiddled with the speaker. I finally managed to on some music. BTS's Ma City was blaring through the speakers. Yoongi gave me a questioning look and I just dragged him so that he could dance with me. At first he was a little hesitant but he soon loosened up and were laughing so much. The water finished boiling and we started to prepare the ramens for us to eat. We ate in silence.

I then asked,"Tell me something about yourself that you don't usually tell anyone about before." He raised his eyebrows. "Well I told you about Taeil so you should tell me about yourself,"I said again. He just scoffed but took a deep breath before talking.

"It was a year ago. My little sister, Yuna, wanted to go to our BTS concert with her friends. Usually I would let her come but that day I couldn't let her because she had school the next day. We had a huge argument and Yuna got fed up and just left. I performed at the concert anyways. After the concert, I got a call. My mom called me and told me that Yuna got into an accident and is still unconscious. I ran to the hospital but as soon as I saw her, she was gone. She didn't make it. I later found out that after our argument, she was crying as she left. Her eyes were blurry and she was listening to music so she couldn't see or hear a truck coming towards her as she crossed the street. She loved listening to music. Whenever I see her, she was always with her earpiece. She was also good at hiding her true emotions but she can never hide them from me. That day was the first time I didn't know she was hiding something. Everytime......"he trailed off. A tear fell. I came closer to him as a few more tears fell and hugged him when he started crying. I stroked his back. "Just cry. Let it all go. I won't tell anyone. Don't worry."I whispered to him. He burst into tears and was shaking uncontrollably. I hugged him and my heart ached. I guess we all have our problems and stories. I looked at him who was still crying. He looked hurt. His delicate features were showing stress. I felt sad for him but.... there ewas another feeling that I could not tell....

Hey guys!! Update is here. I am sooooo sorry that it took so long but I was getting sick recently and I had a ton of homework to catch up with. I also just pierced my ears today!!! I will try to update as soon as possible but I took longer because I wanted this chapter to be of good quality for you guys to read!!
