Humans often talk about how time felt slower as a kid and as they grow older time goes faster. As a young kid each day at school felt like an eternity, however adults express that years go by in the blink of an eye.
This is the case for Humans, however not for Onis.They view time equally throughout their whole life, which makes up for the fact that they don't live as long as humans.
Tyler and Mike might comment about how it only felt like yesterday that they met Onity, but Onity can't comprehend that as it literally felt like years ago for him because it was years ago.
Onity might live to be the first to die of the three, but his life felt just as long if not longer due to his perception of time.
